Lack of talent in Hollywood, it makes sense.

"What's a "nutter" to some is a visionary to others." I think good actors bring more to a role than just their faces. This will end up like Rich Little impressions with real good make-up.

“’Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow’, a film from 2004, featured the Late Sir Laurence Olivier as the villain, and HE died in 1989!”
It’s older than that. Remember the dead presidents in “Forrest Gump”? Thye had Kennedy talking about pee and LBJ checking out the guy’s rear.

The research on this along with software development on this has been ongoing for at least 15 years.
I have been predicting that this would happen as soon as the software and hardware got to the point it could be done, and done right.
So you will be able to see your favorite old star back in action at any age.
In addition to the visual aspect they probably will go back and digitally remaster every talking film they were in to be able to get the dialogue just right.

Let’s resuscitate dead directors. Start with Irv Kershner so he can fix the mess Lucas made of Star Wars.

My girls just watched the movie “Simone” with DeNiro (?) as the producer that creates the actress out of software. In the reviews one person said something like:
“The beauty of a young Hepurn, the sensuality of Monroe, and the grace of, well, Grace Kelly”.
A combination of all of those actresses went into the creation of “Simone”!

Jim Carrey, Cary Grant, what's the difference. The lot of 'em deserve some fruit in the yap.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Mr. Lucas has to be stopped.
Wasn’t Mark David Chapman one of John Lennon’s “biggest fans”?
Just sayin’, Star Wars geeks ;)

I think the BBC America just ran that a couple of weeks ago. So that
was Olivier? That's okay. When did that "character" die in the film?
Twenty [story line] years earlier?
So you have a dead actor playing a dead character? What's the problem?
To: Captain Peter Blood; LS
I think they started thinking about this possibility when Woodie Allen released ‘Zelig’.

Exactly, don’t hate because he thought of it first (or rather had the balls to do it first).
