Yesterday, a friend of mine called me on the phone. He told me McDonalds had a special (for Florida and Southeast Georgia) for Buy a Big Mac, get the second Big Mac free. I took advantage of that so I ended up eating 2 Big Macs for supper for a total of just $3.50.
Anyway, it occurred to me that there are a lot of Fast Food restaurant deals out there but we don't know about a majority of them until it is too late. Therefore, please post your fast food restaurant deals on this thread when you find them for easy reference for the rest of us.
Let the record show that I predicted (to myself) that this thread would be filled with flaming hatred towards the fast food industry (Even though we all patronize fast food establishments).
Just last night I was talking to my wife about the unintended consequences the war on fast food has had. Since McDonald’s started printing the nutrition information on the box for McNuggets, I’ve eaten more. They are fairly low in calories, have no trans fats and moderate overall fat, and are very high in protein.
Amen to this!! Can’t beat a home made burger..and don’t forget the onions!!!
Yeah, I don’t get all this fast food hate. Anyway, when they have deals you can eat on the cheap which is the PURPOSE of this thread.
Well..your idea is 98% perfect to me...just hold any suggestion of mayonnaise..I though automatically that an English type sauce would be brown..something like HP sauce...that’s heavenly.
Their sauce is mayo based. Once you know that (which is kind of easy) you can season it any way you want. HP, mustard, Worshtchshire (now you know why I call it la sauce anglais, easier to spell), pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, white pepper....the list goes on.
“Buy a Big Mac, get the second Big Mac free”
That’s not fair!!! I paid .01 for the second Big Mac yesterday.
“McDonald?s started printing the nutrition information on the box for McNugget”
There ya go!! We have 10 McNuggets for 1.99 here.
In-n-Out Burger. The only fast food burger I can stomach. Actually tastes fresh. Single cheese = $2.30
Oooh, yeah, that BOGO Big Mac deal is killer.
Out in my neck of Kalifornia, Burger King as a BOGO chicken sammich deal goin’ on.
I buy Chick Fil A calendars each year. One each for my boys and one for me!
Two Big Macs for supper? Do you realize you violated Michelle Obama’s food guidelines?
Michelle will probably work on getting rid of fast food specials like the one you got.
One thing I never understand about liberals, is how they pick and choose their causes, and the appropriate policy. For example, we’re supposed to be “pro-choice” about anything related to abortion and sexual behavior, and be tolerant of anything in that area. But when it comes to cigarettes and now food, strict governmental regulations are what they want.
Yet even with smoking, they want to severely restrict cigarettes but the liberals also want to legalize marijuana. Smoking of any substance should be treated the same way, right? If we’re going down that road???
LOL. So you say.
“Please forgive me for suffering NO ill effects after eating the 2 Big Macs.”
Had your blood pressure checked since then?
I remember another thread of yours about coupons for Boston Market, their food is extremely high in sodium.
Burger Kings has a buy one get one free on their original chicken sandwich. It’s bigger than their chicken patty, but remember the chicken pattie is only a buck, while the chicken sandwich is a few bucks.
These buy one/get ones work well if you have a family and can split the food.
But at almost all my fast food stops, I’m spending 2-3 bucks at most, buying everything off the dollar menu.
While watching SPAlaska I caught Pipers lil spippet of a remark.
Sarah was rushing around the bus as Moms do asking and looking for the Smores stuff for the bon fire outdoors.
Sarah: (not exact quote) Come on guys wheres the dessert fixins?
Piper: Michelle says we can’t have dessert.
LOL Anyone else catch that?
For a treat on the road or just a kinda bum mood I go to Mc D’s and order a $1 vanilla Ice Cream cone.
Now before you may think “that’s not cheap” well compared to the Tillamook Tourist Ice Cream Shop in Town it is, Tillamook ice cream cone $4.
And I like the ice milk type of Ice Cream MC D has.
Ever Read the back of your BK reciept?
Call the number and do a survey and they give you a code for a free sandwhich of some sort.
When I get the Mc D coupons in the mail I give them to a couples as many are buy one get on free.
