Twas the Night Before Liberal Christmas 2010

Twas the night before Christmas and Obama was down His face it was somber like a sad little clown. Recent events of the last month were a blur, Since the whooping received on the second of November.

The Tea Party was not nestled all snug in their beds, To the dismay of the all the liberal talking heads. The fight for our country was not quite over The battles ahead, they kept all quite sober.

Democrats they'd been tossed in hordes and in droves No unfettered access they had to the fed’s treasure troves. The economy stank and had gotten no better, Despite following liberal tenants right down to the letter.

Queen Nancy she sat, and without a clue in her head, She thought that her reign was not quite yet dead. Her and her fellows act like they have nothing to fear, Despite the election and the results that were clear.

It was a fluke or a crock the left claims and does bay, But the people had turned back from the liberal ways. Angry were the masses with the Washington play At every step taken they shout nay, nay and NAY!

“Now spend more! Now tax more! Now increase those rates! Give us our money!” The liberals thought it was great! To the top of the Capitol! They shouted and balled! “NOW GIVE US IT, GIVE US IT, GIVE US IT ALL!”

The left told us Bush's cuts serviced only the rich Oh how loudly and cruelly they did meanly so bitch. It had been a claim that was taken as faith, And liberals thought with it that their power was safe.

But now left stuck in a most terrible bind Middleclass tax cuts the left mysteriously did find. Despite what had been said and they hoped you believed, They were all set to expire on this New Year's Eve.

But in a panic Obama, he set to a deal With Republicans he put in motion the wheel. To raise taxes now would be felt swift and so firm For it would ensure Obama not more than one term.

Deals now are made and pork added to stew Not a care of what more debt means unto me and to you. Spending and spending, gifts placed under the tree A laughable caricature that is plan is to see.

People paid not to work, to slough and to lay? That was the deal that Republicans made. And Obama he grinned as he sought to belay, The failure of socialism for just one more day.

He did not believe that the “rich” should be served, In two years he hoped they’d get what they “deserved”. Sure Pelosi she cried and pitched a big fit, But who was she? In Speaker’s chair she no longer did sit!

Still so much damage to be undone it is true, But good news is that America was never too blue. People had fallen for some myths and some lies But a few years of liberalism opened their eyes.

But don’t let the left fool you they’re still quite alive Buzzing like bees around and angry kicked hive. Obama he smiled and called as he flew to Hawaii, "Obamacare’s still coming and I’ll get you my PRETTY!"

Twas the night before Christmas
and in The White House,
Obama was scheming,
that liberal louse.

Muslim Crescent moons
were all hung round with care,
on, “Holiday Trees,” since no one thought Christmas
or even to dare.

Michelle was upstairs
all tucked in her bed
with visions of obese kiddies
dancing in her head.

The kids tucked away
and her mom in napsack,
and the illegal aunt who was seeking amnesty
from her nephew that rat.

When out on the lawn
there arose such a clatter,
Obama jumped up to see
what was the matter.

Away to the window
he ran like on court,
remembering twelve stitches
and an elbow of sort.

He looked to the East
thinking Allah had called
and found nothing there
so this lefty was appalled.

When what to his liberal eyes
did appear
but thousands of people
angered, they jeered,

“we’re sick of your ways
and tired of the mess
you’ve made of our country
the pain, the duress.

We told you not once
but thousands of times
we will not stand still
for your freedom robbing crimes.”

He looked past them all
as if to ignore and yawned
and stretched because they
to him were a bore.

He thought to himself
in his arrogant way,
“these people are stupid
I wish they would stray,

from this thought that their voice
means anything more
than a mouse in a cupboard
or scampering on the floor.”

He started to turn
from the window with haste
to practice his golf swing
which we all know is a waste.

But something traveling
way up in the sky
caught his attention
and the look of his eye.

It was a star in the East
coming quickly at first
then landing before him
it brilliantly burst.

And there with the thousands
who came to protest,
stood three shining figures
in different dress.

As the light then grew dim
so Obama could see,
he knew all at once
the identity of the three.

Before him along
with the angry all in accord,
stood men from the past
whose example he’d ignored.

For there on the lawn
and joining the protest,
were Lincoln, Washington and Reagan
three of our best.

The crowd stood in awe
as they saw this great sight
and all knew at once
these men knew their plight.

Of fighting for freedom
and all of our rights,
no matter the obstacles
or the enemies might.

Obama just stood there
shaking his head,
speaking before them
he said, “you’re ideals are all dead.

This land is so flawed
it must now be changed
and anyone thinking other wise
is completely deranged.”

The three bowed their heads
and beginning to shake
stood tall and proud
as the ground started to quake.

Washington spoke first
as Obama piped down,
“listen to me
you liberal clown!

You think you’re all knowing
but if the truth must be told,
you’re a disgrace to the powerful
office you hold.”

Then Lincoln chimed in
a voice strong and clear,
”and the freedoms you hate
these thousands hold dear.

you’re socialist ways
are what caused the people to muster
because freedom is what makes
America prosper.”

Now Ronnie stepped forth
with a twinkle in his eye
as he looked at Obama
and gave a great sigh.

“Listen here you cannot force
the people to bow
to any government
ran by the liberal sacred cow,

of taxing and spending
until we are all broke,
and stealing their money
until they are choked.”

The people all cheered
at the voice of the three
and they cried out in one,
“Obama we are free!

Free to live our lives
just as we choose
without your involvement
or your charity ruse.

Then Ronnie spoke again
in like manner,
”Obama it’s their voice
and will that’s the banner,

of this Nation served
before you by each of us three,
and nothing you do
can stop liberties tree,

from growing and spreading
the wonderful hope,
that America is free
and trust the people you dope.”

Then with his mouth opened wide
in complete disbelief
Obama thought it over
and he would get some relief.

But we people yelled out
in a rousing loud chorus,
with Ronnie and George
and Abraham before us.

“Merry Christmas to you
for it is we who have clout,
to remove you from office
for in two years, you’re OUT!”

Twas the Night Before Stimulus

… and all through the land

consumption is slowing,

and investors are scared.

The stockings were hung

by the chimney with care.

In hopes that St. Government

soon would be there.

The unions were nestled

all snug in their beds,

Knowing that Congress

was firm in their stead.

And governors in their pockets,

and school districts too,

secure in the knowledge,

that they’ll stick it to you.

When out in the statehouse

there arose such a clatter,

citizens sprang to their laptops

to see what was the matter.

Away to their blogs

they flew like a flash,

tore open their e-mails

and kept open their cache.

The moon on the breast

of the new fallen snow,

but we’ve spent so much,

that we can’t even plow.

When, what to our wondering

eyes should appear,

a corrupt IL governor,

more taxes and fear.

With a wonky Fed chairman,

who knew not what to do,

we knew in a moment,

that he’d screw us too.

More rapid than eagles,

the new programs came,

And Bush whistled and shouted,

and called them by name.

Now TARP, now bailout,

Now stimulus checks,

Down funds rate, more taxes

who knows what is next?

To the top of the Hill

To the top of the Wall

Now bail away, flail away,

spend away all.

As I drew in my head,

and was turning around,

the lobbyists on K street

stormed with a bound.

They spoke like fine preachers,

on the radio and news,

with a message so tarnished,

most Americans refused,

their scare tactic stories,

broken windows gallore,

but our governments relented

and broke even more.

Justifications abounded

New Ponzi’s in jail,

Heck even my belly

is too big to fail.

Home prices still falling

our belts are pulled tight,

well except for the folks,

who live for election night.

They’ll raise taxes on soda,

on beer and on cigs,

as their budgets expand

like a holiday pig.

A wink of their eyes

and a twist of their heads

Soon gave me to know

There’s even more to dread.

They spoke not one truth

but went straight to their work

Of filling their coffers

off of all our hard work,

Expanding school budgets

and public works too.

which would really be nice

if it was truly new.

But our schools and our roads

will continue to crumble

’cause funding’s not the problem,

it’s government bumble.

So Obama will come

and he’ll spend even more

while folks will be duped

that this is not like before.

The crisis will deepen

but someday will end,

and government will continue

to be viewed as godsend.

The Feds own the banks,

Fan, Fred and AIG,

and regulations extending

well into the seas.

And so long as we think,

wealth comes from Santa’s flights

or enlightened politicians

we’ll kiss freedom good-night.
