Since 0bamaCare was passed, we have had our insurance contributions raised from $248.00 PM, to $379.00 PM. We have, now, been hit with a deductible of $1000.00 PY per person, whereas before we had none. Our office visit co-pay was doubled to $40.00 per visit...even on visits to renew prescriptions. Our Ins. Co, BCBS, won't pay for in office services such as X-Rays, blood work (other than "standard panels"), and now we can't even go to the same Dr. that offers Colonoscopies, Angios, CT's or...I don't know what else. Now, we have to go to an "Outpatient Center" and pay $100.00 PLUS and overages from the their service providers! A Colonoscopy will now cost ME $735, if I use my insurance, or, I can go to a "discount" center and get it for $535.00, without using insurance.
And the icing on the cake is...ALL of my meds have now soared! For instance, Uroxatral was $30.00, it now is $115.00! Hydrochlorothiazide was $4.00, it is now $37.00. Those are only two of the 5 meds I take! Can't wait to see what happens to the Wife's Thyroid meds.
I've spoken to my State Senator, a Dem, and he doesn't believe (so he says) that 0bamaCare has anything to do with it, but asked me to come back in Feb. with a list. Which I will do, and with receipts.
Please share your cost increases and other experiences, I want to have both chambers loaded!
Thanks
“Obamacare is about nothing more than socialized medicine, taking medical care away from those who have earned it and giving it to those who havent.”

And you left out “WHY”!!! —— ** VOTES **
The healthcare bill has not even been enacted yet. I would dig deeper.
Blue Cross is our provider. The only one in the state of IL willing to insure us.
They doubled our premiums. We were told Blue Cross blamed ObamaCare but they received a call from the White House demanding they change the wording.
I, along with others at my place of work have dropped our health care coverage. I refuse to pay such a high amount for something I rarely use. Now all I can hope for is nothing serious health wise happens.
Thanks for nothing Obama.
Only effect I’ve seen from obamacare is my premiums have gone up 60%. I’m lucky among the self-employed. I have friends who are self-employed who have received letters saying their coverage will be discontinued Jan. 1.
Thanks, obastard and demscum!
Sorry - I should have clarified it a bit - I need a prescription in order to get reimbursed. We can (I believe) still receive OTC’s without a script - but if you participate in an FSA - you’ll need to provide the script with the receipt to get reimbursed.
Thanks for that poster.
