The electrical grid will not go down permanently. But it might go down long enough to drive the big cities insane. Nothing goes down permanently, it can always be fixed. And in the rural and smaller cities, there will be enough real workers to get it back up and running. But the bigger cities will have to fight through the looters and anarchists and rioters to even get to where they need to be. It will not be pretty, but it will be an eye opener.

Just like the LA riots were an eye opener for the Asian communities. I wonder how many Asian business owners are now solid gun owners, with a gas generator on the side.

It should be fine.Gas engines with the older style ignition sustem(points, coil)should survive. Most solid state ignition systems will be ruined. That means all new cars won’t start. Most heavy trucks on the road have electronic control modules driving their fuel injection systems. So no food delivery,no fuel delivery. Most modern farm equipment will be rendered useless.I have some older tractors that will continue to function, but how much fuel, seed and fertilizer will I be able to find? And for how long?It will become a race to repair oil refineries, power stations, trucks, just about everything we need to sustain life.

What could be a more glaring example of complacency than this: “We must pass this bill so you can find out what’s in it.” And there was no public outcry!

No. I was mistaken and overoptimistic. That is a glaring example of apathy. God help us!

——The average age of the World’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.——

Do you have a list of those claimed?

I’m sure there are some but as a rule, I doubt it

I had a long conversation with an involuntary evacuee from New Orleans after Katrina. They rounded up all the people on high ground and shipped them out. He got on a plane and ended up in Tennessee and was bewildered as to where he actually ended up.

He told me of the Asian shop keepers who shot the looters. The looters were not armed and were driven away from the well armed Asians

Please do not be offended, but I dislike the term involuntary evacuee. Why did he not leave when the President asked everyone to leave? I know of plenty of people, both white and black, who packed up and moved out to other places until Katrina was over. My wife's BFF in college was one of them.

Theres no alternative to actual revolution..
No metaphorical allusion to it will do..

AT the later stages of rot actually "doing it" is required..
FREEDOM requires shedding of blood there is simply no other way..
Its a matter of who's blood... yours or "theirs".. and sometimes BOTH is required..

So, my 1979 chevy pick up (runs like a clock) will be fine, also. Obtaining fuel would certainly be a problem.

Also, I buy hay in the winter for my horses...that would be a real situation. I do have a bunch of reserve seeds for some ordinary produce.

——Why did he not leave when the President asked everyone to leave? -——

He and others near by were not in harm’s way. Their houses and area was not badly damaged nor flooded/They had food and water and good dry shelter. He was a well known NO personage who rented his quarters from an elderly (90 ) man who had mobility problems. The journey was more dangerous than living where they were. There were also several elderly widows, all were in good shape till rounded up and flown off to Tennessee.

Generating one's own electricity for a few hours a day is not that tough, given that you have fuel to run a generator/car/tractor with an alternator/generator.

Owning a couple of inverters including a fairly sizable sign wave inverter can get one through for a few months (until the fuel runs out).

“Most experts agree”? I call BS.

How about show me one .edu site that talks about the alleged “9 stages of civilization”. How about show me one valid historical/history site that talks about it.

The “9 stages of Civilization” is utter BS and anyone believing in this garbage are simply idiots who would buy mystery oil from a snake-oil salesman. =.=

Yes, the danger is real, clear and present. However, unlike those failed civilizations of the past, we have their histories and Ed Schultz to warn and guide us.

This again, huh.

Please state the specific “great civilizations” used to calculate the 200 year average, as well as the criteria used to put them into the group. Also the starting and stopping points and how they were determined.

Please point out ANY civilization that has ever followed the specific path outlined in your nine steps.

Which “experts” are you referencing, and what poll is your statement that most of them think we are between 7 and 8 based on?

High-sounding malarkey.

There is no such thing as just “leading a decent life” and then being allowed into heaven. To a perfect God no man is decent. Only by faith are we saved. You can read Romans to see what Paul says about it.

There WAS an outcry but you never saw or heard it on the lamestream media, only on Fox and Drudge and that is suppressed and ignored by everybody in power. Did you expect an outcry to take the form of 10 million armed Americans marching on DC to annihilate the government scum who inflicted Obummercare on us? Short of that what can you do? Voting has become a joke. Any electoral victory is either nullified by some leftist judge or totally squandered away by scum like John Boehner who promise to heed the right thinking people who elected them to the majority, only to see him turn tail as fast as he was sworn in and join the Dumocrats in their march to enslavement of all Americans and the world.
