There are directions on the Internet on how to reach conscious dreaming. There are sites that tell you how to induce conscious dreaming through drug use. Yet with all of the discussions on Jared Loughner, very few pundits discuss his use of conscious dreaming or controlled hallucinations. Why?

Contrary to what Hollyweird would lead you to believe (because they fantasize about such things) that kind of stuff isn’t nearly as common as you might believe.

Conscious dreaming, lucid dreaming and "controlled hallucinations" have a fairly big following.

Reportedly he was a major pothead, drank himself into stupors, and smoked that sylivia (sp?) crap.
It seems like the multiplication factors would be seriously crazy making.

He took a conscious dreaming class at his school. It was the first thing I looked up initially but time limitations prevented me from pursuing it. It’s a good lead and perhaps contributed to his deterioration.

How does concious dreaming harm people? I have had an occassional lucid dream, usually I wake up as soon as I realize I am dreaming but sometimes can hang on with deliberate effort for a little while. I thought it was fun.
I suppose it has something to do with what you DO with your lucid dreams. I have them occasionally (non-drug induced). I don’t go looking for an adviser from a spiritual plane.
I thought it was fun.
