The brother of the Muslim actress Afshan Azad, who played Padma Patil in the “Harry Potter” films, was sentenced to six months in prison Thursday for beating his sister after he heard her talking to her Hindu boyfriend.
Ashraf Azad, 28, called his sister a “prostitute” and screamed ''Marry a Muslim or you die!'' during a three-hour beating, during which, the actress said in a Manchester, England court, she feared for her life.
Afshan Azad, 21, was punched, strangled, and dragged by her hair by her brother, but she still pleaded for the judge’s leniency during the sentencing hearing, and asked he not be jailed.

In it you also find the parents were involved in this, and tried to send her back for a forced, arranged marriage. And the girl begs for leniency for them.
What a horrid family. What a horrid religion. However, they didn't seem to have a problem with her playing an Indian in the movie - which they probably profitted from.

There are Indian Muslims. Lots of them. I don't think they specified which variety, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian, her character was supposed to be. Although her twin's name, Parvati, is that of a Hindu Goddess.
Still... 6 months for nearly beating your sister to death over a several month period.

Is this getting wider coverage? I hope it gets TONS of exposure, because maybe something like this will make the millions (billions?) of Harry Potter fans see Islam for what it is. I personally don’t follow Harry Potter stuff at all, but obviously many do.

And it's not like her other family members, or other Muslims, would kill her for testifying against her brother...right? Yeah, what an "idiot." She is truly a victim of the bully cult.
Based on his job..one of our sons has a lot of Muslim/Pakistani associates. Domestic violence..even among the educated and wealthy is common place. He has been asked by associates..”Does your father beat your mother?”. And they are surprised to hear no. All the Muslim kids fear their parents and sometimes live two lives..one for their parents and another for themselves.
Something about getting some out of the gene pool keeps ringing in my head ...
