Holy cow!! Our groomer charges $35/dog. They need a haircut now, but I know as soon as I do the temp will drop 30 degrees and we’ll get hit with a blizzard. :op Poor dears! lol

Be thankful. AKC attention and/or mass appeal of a breed is not without its perils.

I have a Bullmastiff.

#6 Bulldogs (ancestral bull dog was the “Bull” in the Bullmastiff)

#7 Boxer (derived from the Bullmastiff)

My wife introduces our pets by saying "We have a Golden Retreiver and a Dachshund." I introduce our pets by saying "We have a Golden Retreiver and a real dog."

Once a dachshund person, always a dachshund person.

I’ve had several dogs but none like that Blue Tick Hound from my childhood.

What is a Redbone Coonhound? My son in SC has a dog that was given to him. We don’t know the breed. Some kind of tri-color hound that loves to “tree” the squirrels. She’s small — about 40 lbs and very cute. Because of allergies, my DIL will not allow the dog in the house. Makes me sad.

One of the worst days of my life when my black lab buddy, Bo, passed at almost 14 yo. I have a new buddy, Jed, another black lab. He is 4 years old and a fine friend. I suppose I will lose him too. Still, they are worth the trouble.

I would have to study the questionnaire and the poll sample. Most popular? Does it mean what most people have, or what most people would like to have. More shepards than chihuahuas? Back in the day of Bullet and Rin Tin Tin, but not since the reconquista. Gringo.

Yeah here in SoCal its been kinda chilly so its good for the doggies to have some extra fur on them, but now they both look SO shaggy..this place Sparky’s is expensive but they do a good job. Oh its actually 130 since they get a 10 dollar tip. I told my sister, “Tell them here’s a tip, lower their prices” LOL

Isn’t that the truth? I lost a lab of thirteen years a week ago to bone cancer. Sweetest dog you could imagine an eternal puppy.

Two perfect heelers on your picture! The rooster cogburn dog there with the one eye appears to be a heeler mix?

My red heeler is the most amazing smart dog I've ever had the pleasure to own. A bit posessive of me and gotta be careful around children(other peoples) though. She's 13 and isn't a bit slower than 3.

HA! Dachshunds at #8! Both of mine give that two paws up!

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."
