Phil Mickelson fired a four-under-par 68 to move into a third-round tie for the lead with Bill Haas at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

Haas saw his overnight four-shot advantage eroded as Mickelson carded five birdies to move to 12 under.

Hunter Mahan and Bubba Watson were another shot back after both sank eagles at 18, while rookie Jhonattan Vegas was alone on nine under.

Go Phil. As for Tiger, I’ve always wondered if he was doing droids.

The spoiled brat Tiger is still unable to dominate since the world found out he’s a douche bag.

Tiger clearly hit the wall. Too high, too soon, too hard?

Phil has always been a pretty good egg. I suspect now that Tiger has tethered himself to the firmament, Phil will soon simply be the best golfer in the world.

Watch Hunter Mahan - he’s the guy who can go low on Sunday.

have you noticed how much smaller tigers arms are this year? He was juicing...can’t tell me otherwise. He got huge in a hurry. I like that Vegas kid...

Only if they're hot!

Sorry - couldn't resist. You probably mean 'roids, not droids. "droid" is short for android.

I meant steroids, but am at work and can only post on my cell phone. Hence typos, although, by coincidence I have a Motorola Droid. Sometimes when you correct people, you don’t know that their circumstances make posting difficult and it’s a wonder that one can do so with reasonable clarity.

Hunter is a good guy too. Another So Cal guy like Phil who I think was a surfer. He lives in Plano, Texas now. I am sure taxes are one reason. He is a damn good golfer.

The best golfer in the world right now is probably Germany’s Martin Kaymer. The kid is very good. Phil may be the king of Augusta. He played incredible golf at the Masters last year.

Nice to see guys like Phil, Mahan, Kaymer and others acting respectful while the idiot throw clubs and yells the F word.

The Tiger fan boys are back out on GolfWrx and they were pumping Tiger and junking Phil but that changed today.

John Daly may finally be getting his life in order and David Duval is also playing well. They are at -4 under with Tiger. The jerks on GolfWrx were dumping on Daly saying he would fold but he is playing well. He possibly was more physically talented then Tiger or Phil.

As long as Tiger is flaming out - I’m happy ...

This was supposed to be his BIG tune-up for the Masters, he’s won there at Torrey Pines 7 times previously ...

Was supposed to be a cake walk for him ...

I dumped TV and try to watch some golf on the Internet. I was reading posts at GolfWrx and they said CBS was all the Tiger show as usual.

I think the PGA when they started testing a week after he took off to get the knee fixed - the PGA was forced to start testing because it was a joke. He probably stopped after that. He was juicing and still may be. The anger issues. He was skinny kid and to get arms like he had is almost impossible.

This Vegas kid is a real hit. I read something that he left Venezuela with $65 in his pocket. He won last week or the week before??? He is in contention here against a very good field. They said he is a pretty big kid on Golfwrx. 6’3” 235 lbs. My guess is he wanted to get away from Chavez.

Yeah the Tiger fan boys were out in force on GolfWrx. Dumping on Phil saying he would not make the cut and how Tiger would win a major or two and 3 or 4 tourneys this year. They were making excuses for the club throwing and F-bombs.

Now they are back on suicide watch offering suggestions about fixing his swing, using a 3 wood instead of a driver, why he is so bad out of bunkers. On and on. One saying he should grovel and beg Butch Harmon to take him back. Harmon coaches Phil and other players. He wants nothing to do with Tiger.

It’s OK, Wolfstar - in this case, it was grounds for a little humor. No harm intended.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a good guy or not. You could be a mean bastard, but it you are in the hunt and shoot 62 on Sunday, you’re going to win.

Mahan is a nice guy, but my point is he makes a habit of going low on the weekends. So does Kaymer, he shot 66/66 last weekend at Abu Dhabi.

I hear you. Mahan could come out and shoot a 63 or 64 and take all the marbles. 62 would be tough. He knows you have to go low on Sunday to win. Kaymer’s score last weekend were insane.
