Is the honeymoon over already? Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky 'spending three months apart'
www.dailymail.co.uk ^ | 2-2-11

Their lavish wedding last summer had the world captivated. But it seems that the honeymoon period is already over for Chelsea Clinton and her new husband. Marc Mezvinsky has quit his job as an investment banker in favour of a three-month break at the exclusive ski resort of Jackson Hole in Wyoming. But rather than accompanying her husband on the extended break, the Secretary of State's daughter will be remaining in New York instead.

The nature of the couple's temporary separation remains something of a mystery.

Mr Mezvinsky, 33, is still listed as a partner on the website of hedge fund G3 Capital, though a colleague told the New York Post yesterday that he was 'unavailable'.

The paper reported that he had left his job in order to spend a season skiing at Jackson Hole, which is a favourite with celebrities such as Clint Eastwood and David Beckham. Alone: Ms Clinton, at the Glamour awards in November, is said to be desperate to start a family Ms Clinton, meanwhile, is remaining in New York, where she is currently studying for a degree in public policy at the city's Columbia University. The fact that the pair will be living apart comes as something of a surprise, given that friends claim Ms Clinton is desperate to start a family.

A representative for Ms Clinton declined to comment on the reports, but a source close to the couple said that the 30-year-old would be visiting her husband every few weeks.

Maybe she stayed in New York because one of them has to continue to earn a living?

Ah jeez, doesn't look like she's going to be staying home, baking cookies, and having teas.

Unfortunately, Chelsea has had a very bad example of what married life is like in her parents.

They’ve always seemed to move through life married, yet separate, with their most important goal each of their own lives. It’s almost a business relationship, with a non-exclusivity clause.

I would not be surprised if Chelsea mirrored this.

What’s the problem? Isn’t this the epitomy of modern, progressive marriage behavior? Three months of work followed by a period of ‘finding one’s self’?

Imagine what the in-laws are thinking?

>> Ms Clinton... is said to be desperate to start a family

Damn. I was sorta hoping they wouldn’t breed.

There’s a lot of things this old world needs, but more Clintoon spawn isn’t one of them.

“a degree in public policy”

What the hell is that? My God. That’s like having a degree in Medieval Plumbing. I guess if you’re the daughter of a couple of public freeloaders, then you can have that kind of degree. What the hell would you study? Is there a degree in PRIVATE policy?? Huh?????????

Can you imagine someone yelling, “Quick, help! Get me someone with a degree in public policy!!! Help!”
