Death by cop is a popular way of suicide in the US where people deliberately provoke police offices into using their weapons. Less than 1/10th of 1 percent of suicides are by cop so I'm not sure how "popular" that is.

On July 13, 2009, when I woke to find my wife of 19 years and my children gone, I felt like suicide myself. Would have done it myself, though. The cops have tasers.

"A friend of the actor told Hollywood author Peter Biskind that Gibson was trying to get the officer, James Mee, to draw his weapon and fire." What response was the comment "sugar tits" supposed to trigger?
