People who practice homosexuality constitute roughly 1% of the population, if that. The only reason that they inhabit so much of the media is because of the very same pandering that you and Coulter are proposing. Yesterday, while I was in the car running errands, I turned on my radio so that I could catch Glenn Beck’s program. Instead, his slot was being filled in with a broadcast from a local Philadelphia guy whose show precedes Beck’s. I listened for a little while before turning it off in disgust.

Local guy was broadcasting from CPAC, and, at the time I turned it on, he was interviewing one of the GOProud founders. Interviewer was VERY sympathetic and let the interviewee get away with saying that his group is just interested in conservative principles and that they really don’t push for anything like homo marriage. Basically, he was trying to say that he is just like all other conservatives except that he happens to be a homo,

I wanted to call and ask why he feels the need to be in a group that separates him as a homosexual. What is the point is belonging to a group based on a sexual disorder?

I think the gay issue needs to be a non-issue for conservatives. I happen to believe that it is not a choice but biologically based.

First, you have absolutely no real basis for your belief that homosexuality is biologically based, so basing the restructuring of society on some whim is silly. Second, schizophrenia is biologically based. Do we want to rearrange things so that schizophrenia is considered normal behavior, too?
