Yes, I finally got my hands on n H&K pistol, the popular P30 in 9mm. I think you'll enjoy seeing this pistol put through the Hickok45 routine of shooting up close and at some distance.

I should have bought it. I think I have only seen 2 of them.

Both were full size. One was stainless

BTW, I broke the firing pin on that C96 dry firing it *I know.. I am a dolt*

I was really concerned that I would not be able to repair it ,I was unsure of how closely the parts had been copied as yo can tell there was a lot of hand fitting.

I picked up a new firing pin from numerich and it works like a charm.

That’s nicer than the Chinese one’s I’ve seen. Glad Numrich came through for you.

The super is a great cartridge. If you get one earlier than the 70 series, it will be marked Super .38. I had one that was ‘50 vintage, and a early 60’s lightweight.

Sig actually produced a euro version of the P220 in .38 Super with the heel based mag release. It was also sold as the Browning BDA with only about 750 being made for Browning. That’s the one I’m keeping an eye open for.

I’ve loaded some really low powered .45 rounds to get the noise and recoil down. In the Glock, after firing, I have to manually work the slide to eject the case each time. The HK ejects the spent low powered case every time. With +P rounds, the Glock and Ruger will throw the cases onto the rafters but the HK ejection distance isn’t affected that much.

I love the 45 for regular defense.

And the same bullets work in my winchester 1892, blackhawk, glock 30, hk usp, future redhawk and thompson!

:)

The cylinder's firing chamber and the barrel bore are oriented bottom-center, not top. It's supposed to really cut back on the recoil kick, but it takes a modified two-hand grip to keep from getting a piece of skin burned or chewed up in between the cylinder and frame. But it's my preferred grip, anyway, so if I ever free up an extra $900 that the wife won't miss, it'll feel natural to me. It was one of American Rifleman magazine's 'best of' in 2010. I want one. Bad.

Either that, or another Harrison Ford movie special from the same era - Detective Deckard's pistol from Blade Runner:
