BISMARCK, N.D., A North Dakota woman says she produces so much breast milk she's offering it for sale on Craigslist.
Breanna Clemons, 26, of Bismarck told The Grand Forks Herald, "As we speak, I have over 200 bags."
She is asking $2 per ounce but says she is mainly trying to help mothers who cannot nurse and whose babies cannot drink formula.
"If someone were to inquire, I would pump it and store it, so it would be as fresh as possible for them," she said.
So far, Clemons, who is married and has two young children, has had no takers.
The Human Milk Banking Association of North America discourages free-lance selling of breast milk.
"We don't recommend casual sharing of milk from unscreened donors," said President Jean Drulis.
She said the organization screens donors for HIV, hepatitis and drug use. Milk banks pool the milk of several donors and pasteurize it, Drulis said.
Clemons said she is willing to meet with customers, have them visit her home and let them review her medical records.
No doubt Federal Agents will swoop in and arrest her, since it is not pasteurized...
I can however, thing of several very strange GUYS who would be interested in ordering something like that.
Just yuck.
LOL, when I looked into selling my extra breastmilk I accidentally found some very disturbing websites. I won’t get into the details, but I assure you they were very strange indeed.
We have a daughter and daughter-in-law both nursing babies right now. The impact their diets has on the milk is tremendous.
Taking milk from an unscreened source seems risky for the baby. Things like hot sauce can give the baby stomach problems, and at that age and size, dehydration can get to a dangerous level quickly.
I can believe it without even looking. She will have some rather unusual customers, and plenty of them.
Why doesn’t she use the extra in cooking and baking for her own kids?

A mother that cannot produce her own milk. It's called a "wet nurse"
What’s she look like? Can I get it right from the spicket lol
What about the EPA milk spill regulations?
that’s just nasty!
What is it with some women and their weird creepy obsession with breast feeding/breast milk? Is it some deep feminist thing?
