Climate change IS to blame for heavy snow this winter, say scientists

A panel of scientists has said that climate change was behind this years heavy snow and extreme storms that struck much of the planet.

As temperatures continue to rise, affecting weather patterns, they are also warning that spring could come early, bringing with it devastating floods.

The researchers say it has led to more moisture in the air is likely to bring about extraordinary flooding across huge areas when deep snow-pack melts and heavy rain falls as spring arrives.

Global warming means that more water from the sea evaporates and the warmer the atmosphere is, the more the moisture it can hold.

However, when the skies reach saturation point there can be intense storms that lead to flash flooding on vast scales like that in Australia, Sri Lanka and Brazil. Spring could come a couple of weeks earlier this year, bringing with it devastating floods

North America also suffered higher than average precipitation with four times the usual amount of snow falling in some places according to Jeff Masters, director for meteorology at Weather Underground.

He said: 'If you were to take all that water and melt it, it would come out to more than six inches over large swathes of the area.

'If all that water gets unleashed in a hurry, in a sudden warming, and some heavy rains in the area, we could be looking at record flooding along the Upper Mississippi River and the Red River in North Dakota.'

In the past the World has been at times, warmer, cooler, wetter, dryer, winder, calmer.

In the future, the World will be at times, warmer, cooler, wetter, dryer, winder, calmer.

“As temperatures continue to rise...”

Global temperatures haven’t risen for years.

The mainstream media is trying to back away from their global warming boulage without saying they were wrong. Climate change is very different from global warming, isn’t it?

Just a few years ago scientists said that global warming meant no more snow for the UK.

Global Warming to Blame for 37% of Droughts by Jaymi Heimbuch, San Francisco, California on 03.26.09 Science & Technology

It's a bit of a debate about exactly what role global warming is playing in droughts in Australia and the US, but at least one scientist has determined that it is 37% at fault for the decreased rainfall in the areas.

Melbourne University's Peter Baines noticed a trend when he analyzed several layers of statistics, including global rainfall. sea surface temperature data, and a reconstruction of atmospheric behavior over the last 50 years. The trend he saw was that over the last 15 years, global warming seems to be to blame for at least 37% of the drop in rainfall in the continental United States, southeastern Australia, a large region of equatorial Africa and the Altiplano in South America.

"The 37 percent is probably going to increase if global warming continues," Baines told Reuters from Perth in Western Australia, where he presented his findings at a major climate change conference. "This is all part of a global pattern where the rainfall is generally increasing in the equatorial tropics and decreasing in the sub-tropics in mid-latitudes," Baines said.

If it's any kind of inclement weather, blame it on Global Warming.

Blaming everything on AGW has become a truly Pavlovian response by the Left.

So, someone help me out here - isn’t the logical conclusion that the ice ages were caused by global warming? I guess I should have known!!!

They’re desperate. Funding is at stake.

It would be interesting to document the complete absence of the new “AGW can cause increased snowfall” claim before, say, 2008. For example, there isn’t a whisper about it in Gore’s award-winning propagandamentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Global warming means that more water from the sea evaporates and the warmer the atmosphere is, the more the moisture it can hold.

Ok, but why is it falling as snow? Shouldn't it be falling as rain if it was getting warmer?

The only way we can ensure there will not be droughts or floods in the future is a MASSIVE increase in taxation.

The solution is simple. Taxation stops global warming and we all know global warming causes both droughts and floods. Therefore maximum taxation will stop droughts and floods.

Please, logic should not be used when discussing global warming. This subject should only be discussed using hysteria and faulty science.

I rest my case.
