Egypt's revolution means nothing if its women are not free
The Guardian ^ | 3/9/11 | Jumanah Younis

A demonstration commemorating International Women's Day was attacked on Tuesday afternoon in Cairo's Tahrir Square. More than 200 men charged on the women – forcing some to the ground, dragging others out of the crowd, groping and sexually harassing them as police and military figures stood by and failed to act.

It was a shocking wake-up call. Even in Tahrir Square, the symbol of Egypt's newfound freedom, it seems that it's going to take much more than a revolution to overhaul the deep-seated misogyny that some Egyptian men so freely and openly impose on the country's female population.

Reality hits The Guardian with a two-by-four.

Those pesky, freedom-loving, moderate muslims just can't seem to stay with the script.

The Muzzies will never amount to much when they prevent contributions from half their population.

You got it. Clueless they are about what's about to happen: Iran II.

All the women wearing sunglasses and enjoying a cigarette at the cafe are about to find themselves in a Burkha walking 10 paces behind Big Daddy.

Same crap happened in Teheran 30 years ago. The liberal intelligentsia sided with the Jihadist garbage, and ended up being slaves.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Egypt is DEMOCRACY in action and it's wonderful. And if 50%+1 of the "voters" are male, they get to decide to role of women. DEMOCRACY is good so shut up you fascist pig. WI needs to be more like Egypt.

At least that's what I read on another site.

LOL! BIT LATE NOW, AIN’T IT?

Gee, now how many of us were saying this when idiots around the globe likened the Mubarack overthrow to the Berlin Wall coming down? And, yes, I’m referring to Shepard Smith among others. Has he even had the ovaries to report this?

What needs to happen in Egypt and the rest of the Middle East is a revolution in people’s hearts. They need Christ. Until or unless that happens, it won’t matter what kind of government they have.

“It was a shocking wake-up call.”

Not if you are on FR.

Osama called it. He said the US can’t be counted on to support it’s friends. Mubarek was our friend. We threw him out. Here comes the second chapter in the Iran story, and the MSM is “shocked”.

Unfortunately, now we all have to pay for the horrid mess. We are still dealing with the MSM’s and Carters Iran. This will be worse.

As Glenn Beck says, judge the results by the following criteria;

Is the new government equally or more pro-American and pro-Western in it’s outlook?

Is the new government equally or more in favor of peace with Israel?

Does the new government expand and protect the legal rights of women and religious minorities?

Is the new government equally or more helpful in the war against Islamonazis?

It’s a simple reality check for the gushing media enablers of the Muslim Brotherhood.

I urge the entire Islamic world to embrace true peace and accept the love of Jesus Christ. This si the only way these people will achieve any level of prosperity and peace.
