BOCA RATON -- Boca Raton Police were responding to a home invasion when they found something unexpected in the victim's garage - a marijuana grow house.
Dana Carvello said three to five masked men broke into his home Friday night, tied him up and forced his girlfriend and their child into a bedroom. Carvello also said the armed men hit him several times on the head. He escaped and ran to a neighbor's house for help. He was treated at the hospital for head and face injuries.
As police searched the robbery scene they found a grow house in the garage.
Carvello was charged with cultivation of marijuana and child neglect.

Running a grow operation in a house where a child lives is a heinous crime.
Such houses are regularly targeted for invasion by other criminals.
That last name does not turn up in the PBC property appraiser’s web site, so either the woman owns the house or they are renting. Can anyone turn up the address?
