Garth Brooks on Obama: I Love Him to Death; It's Got to Be Hell In That Office

Grammy award-winning singer Garth Brooks told CNSNews.com that he "fully" supports President Barack Obama and that it must be "hell" serving as President of the United States.

Before his performance at the Points of Light Institute's ceremony honoring former President George H. W. Bush at the Kennedy Center on Monday, Brooks was asked if President Obama has lived up to his expectations.

"Yeah, I think what President Obama is finding out is all that we want to do, the system kind of doesn't allow the most powerful guy in the world to kind of do his job and I'm sure nobody's more frustrated than him to complete those promises that he did and I think he's trying his heart out. I love him to death and I fully support him and I just wish him well because it's got to be hell in that office," said Brooks.

Brooks' comments come as many celebrities who supported President Obama in the 2008 election including Matt Damon and Barbra Streisand have publicly expressed disappointment in President Obama.

Well, Steve Wynn can just keep all his Garth $$. Now, I really don’t care to EVER see his show.

If his comments here get a lot of publicity, just watch how his ticket sales plunge for his shows at The Wynn. Predict this: the more this gets out, the smaller his audience there gets.

But Jimmy Buffet hates anyone named Bush. And he’s overrated.

Brooks sang in an HW BUSH event. Makes me sick to the stomach but I will give him a pass tonight because it was a Bush 41 event.

Garth has a couple of good songs, but he’s not a musician by any stretch. He’s a “performer.” He likes to attach wires and fly around stage and say LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!

Now it seems he’s finally Dixie Chicked himself.

Garth Brooks has always been a leftist commie. Never been a fan - although I try not to let politics get in the way of my entertainment choices.

Not once...ever...even at the height of his fame, did I understand what the attraction was to this "star."

Me, either. There was nothing special about this guy. Many, many more talented C&W singers out there.

Jimmy Buffett was not from Key West and the locals like my Aunt had nothing nice to say about the guy but he was a huge phoney and jerk. Naturally he is a big lefty.

Believe me, it's a HUGE struggle for me.

However, I'm a certified Baby Boomer, raised on The Beatles, Stones, Jefferson Airplane and every other political moron you can conjure up.

I love their music, hat their politics.

I can't spend the rest of my life listening solely to Debby Boone and Anita Bryant, talented as they might be.

Thankfully I have Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent to comfort me in my "darkest hours." :0)
