Holder: That darn Congress has screwed-up 9-11 criminal trials
Fox News Channel | 4/4/11

Posted on 04/04/2011 11:39:16 AM PDT by pabianice

An insufferably snot-nosed and self-righteous Eric Holder just spoke on TV regarding trials for the 9-11 monsters who created the 9-11 massacre of civilians. The US Attorney General just blamed all of the bad and corrupt Obama decisions regarding these criminals on a nasty 'congress who has violated the will of the people.'

Has there ever been a more corrupt and anti-American administration? Price for Obama to win in 2012: one billion dollars from his domestic and foreign backers.

Poor Eric got a little boo-boo. Give him an ice cream and a donut and he'll be OK.

I, for one, found Holder’s speech very low-keyed, sedate, and mature. I would point out that this is perhaps the FIRST speech he has given since becoming AG that he hasn’t blamed Bush for something.

Predicting what Holder will do on a given day merely involves figuring out who “his people” are in a particular case.

They don’t call it the Just Us Department for nothing. (They have to pay for the privilege.)

I found this letter among my saved emails. I have got to have made the same point in a letter during the campaign when both McCain and Obama said they would close the place, but I can't find it.

Subject: Obama Guantanamo Closure

In closing Guantanamo Obama repudiates moral authority earned by parents and grandparents of the Greatest Generations worldwide. These people held powerful positions throughout darkest times of our world. They earned unique, durable morality confronting the shattering tragedies and ultimate bloody deluges of world wars. Obama’s actions are particularly reprehensible because for political acclaim he turns a blind eye to council these people bequeathed in Geneva Conventions.

Their council defined terrorists by Article 13 of the First and Second Conventions and Article Three of the Fourth Convention. Terrorists are not the armed forces, militias, volunteer corps, insurgents, or freedom fighters of any country or authority. They are not an organized resistance movement carrying arms openly and have no distinctive identifier. Terrorists are not even spies and saboteurs covertly destroying the infrastructure, industrial capacity or armed forces of an opponent. The focus of their campaigns is the murder, mutilation, and torture of people defined as Protected Persons by all Conventions. Their council instructed terrorists to be isolated, provided no protections and subjected to overwhelming furies crushing their abominations.

In closing Guantanamo Obama invites terrorists into our courts system, but even prisoners of war have always been excluded from civil courts. Over 400,000 legitimate Axis prisoners were transferred stateside during WW II, and held for the duration without legal access.

Obama invites alien terrorists onto a national stage where we must justify our position against their unsurpassed savagery, and they become civil criminals entering a legal conduit provided for war against us.

He seems to be lacking in logic. I heard him say "...and with just one goal" immediately followed by to...., to...., to.... and to..... That did not sound like ONE goal to me. Though attorneys are about persuasion, not necessarily facts, Holder doesn't persuade me.

You are correct, he did not blame Bush, he blamed the Republican Congress. Is there anything that is actually the responsibility of the DOJ?
