Good rule of thumb: if somebody urges you to lick your iPad–and you happen to be on live television–just assume it’s a gag. That’s probably what KSWB morning anchor Shally Zomorodi would tell you after her co-anchor Raoul Martinez punked her on air Friday.
San Diego morning show viewers were treated to Martinez pretending to describe an amazing new iPad app that allowed users to “smell” and “taste” food right on their tablet.
Martinez demonstrated with his phone, insisting he could smell something. When Zomorodi was handed an iPad, she failed to smell anything and her friendly co-anchor urged her to try tasting it. And she did.

It is funny, but...on air is not the place for jokes as professionals. (I know, this is the media)
We all got a good laugh out of it, but she just demonstrated what most of us already know, that people who sit behind those desks aren’t mental giants, they can just read from a script or teleprompter, like Dan Rather and such.
That said, her career is damaged, probably ruined, because the guy had to get a laugh at her expense.
It was funny, and elaborate, but that guy better watch his tail.
That’s almost as funny as the old “if you put salt on butter it makes it smell like vanilla” trick.
You pour a little salt on the pat of butter, tell your gullible friend that a chemical reaction between the two puts off a vanilla smell, then when the gullible friend tries to verify the vanilla smell you push the friend’s head down (or push the butter up) to smear the salty butter on the gullible friend’s nose/face.

I showed my brother and some employees this and we were all laughing our collective azzes off!
Even funnier the way the guys kept teasing her afterward.
