I was unaware that Zod played any significant role in 73 years of Superman comic books. Why use him for the reboot?
OH, it’s a reMAKE of some movie from the 1970s.

Nothing beats the original Superman movies from the late 70s with Christopher Reeve. I even enjoyed Superman III with Richard Pryor. That junkyard scene with Clark Kent fighting his alter ego is epic.
Those movies had a distinct feel to them and Reeve played the character right down to a T. My only beef is that Telly Savales would have made a much better Lex Luthor than Gene Hackman.

Superman should fight Mr. Mxyzptlk.
Today’s movie technology could handle the special effects.

"Faora Hu-Ul was a serial killer born on the planet Krypton. A self-professed "man-hater," she targeted only male Kryptonians and ran a concentration camp where she kept other Kryptonians as slaves." Since Red Kryptonite turns Clark evil, shouldn't that mean it would turn all these evil baddies good?
Superman could just don a lead suit, and 'throw rocks' at them!
