TWIN FALLS, Idaho — A federal judge dealt another setback to the J.R. Simplot Co. and other ranchers by reaffirming his late-February decision to halt grazing on 17 Bureau of Land Management allotments covering some 450,000 acres in southern Idaho.

Western Watersheds Project director Jon Marvel said Winmill's decision will protect thousands of acres of critical sage grouse habitat from livestock grazing.

Marvel's group aims to shut down grazing on public land in the West

I’m not sure but I don’t believe that the Founding Fathers ever intended for these fags in black robes to have this much authority.

oooh... goodie. Now those sage grouse can burn to death when the pastures catch on fire during the next lightening storm because of all the tall, dry grass. What maroons.....

I’m for conservation, but I think this is far more of enviromentalist BS. Looking out for a few birds which are probably not in any danger and hamstring human civilization.

“Winmill was nominated by President Bill Clinton on May 24, 1995 to a seat vacated by Harold Ryan.

Winmill was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on August 11, 1995 on a majority voice vote and received commission on August 14, 1995.

Winmill has served as the chief judge of the court since 1999”

The Western Watersheds Project works closely with the Center for Biological Diversity in their pursuit of rewilding the U.S. Someone needs to shove Jon Marvel in a box and ship his stupid ass off to Bolivias “Ministry of the Earth”.

This has one more consequence. Higher meat prices for us.

He really intends to have an angry and hungry population.

I know some people think Glen beck is half crazy but he predicted this over a year ago. A form of food control by our Gov’t. Regulate the grazing land and reduce supply of meat to the sheeple.

Either that or he has never made the connection between those pretty plastic wrapped pieces of meat in the grocery to those grazing cows in the fields. If we were to substitute “the King's land” for “federal lands” would we stand for it?

How did these birds survive when the buffalo herds darkened the plains in the 1800s?

You’ve said the most important thing so far on this thread, for our government should not own land.

Other than for military purposes, direct government ownership of large tracts of land should be illegal.

There is a solution to this: it is called Congress. Selling off real assets could eliminate the national debt and lifting many of the onerous regulations on landowners would go a long way to rectifying this situation.

Note the phrase, “Western Watersheds Project”. This is the one thing that gave me pause as it raised the specter of government control of water. The United Nations is Hell bent on asserting its control over the earth’s water through international treaties, and Obama, along with the Progressives, are aiding and abetting this activity.

Dammit! We should have sovereignty over our own resources, and no one else!
