Wilby is in my prayers. Keep me up to date if you have time. God Bless You All!
Keep us posted.....Putty Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It still pulls at my heartstrings when I think back on the loss of my long time companion and sufferer of Feline Diabetes...Tucker. He was cat that, from day one, reminded me of Tom Sawyer.
I will say prayers for both of you in his name!
I pray for a DX that is treatable, and wellness soon after. Lucky kitty to have you and to be so loved.

Wow... all the pix on this thread so far look like Maine Coon mixes. Hope Wilby gets better soon! I had to put one of my tortie girls to sleep a few weeks back.
Prayers for Wilibys healing and for strength for you and your family.
Aww.....I pray the Good Lord works a kitty miracle!
After a consult with the vet Thursday morning, his prognosis did not seem good. A CT scan showed pockets of fluid putting pressure on his brain. I wanted to see him one last time before he was put down. When he was brought in, he immediately recognized me, and walked over to me, though it was on unsteady legs.
There was no way I could give up on him after seeing that. We went through an aggressive treatment of antibiotics, anti-imflammatories, and diuretics to give him a chance. By that evening, he was walking around, chatting and entertaining the vet staff. He was ready for discharge last evening.
He's still bit dopey from some of the medication he's taking, but he shows interest in food and water. Wilby has also groomed himself and played with his mouse toy. He's still going to require some medication in the short term and will require monitoring and TLC. However, he looks like he'll be just fine.
I am so glad to have my little dude back home. I don't believe that could have happened without the help of the concern and prayers offered on his behalf by all of you. Again, thank you so much.
Great news!
I am so glad to hear he is doing better.
Yay, I am SO happy for you! He is one beautiful kitty!
I almost put Miss Peach down, but thought I'd try a trick I learned on the dairy. She was totally dehydrated and a sack of sharp bones. But I bought (against the vets wishes) a 500 ml bottle of Ringers. I took her home and just kept loading her up.
Still have her, now asleep in cat house. She was 16 in March and is on insulin, Hill's Pres. diet. Doing fairly well I think.
