Then you have to have 633 squadron. Lucas stole that movie for the last action scene in Starwars.

Top Gun has to be removed. Tom cruise turned Kelly McGillis into a lesbian. Unacceptable

Not too bad, although some choices are a little metrosexual. But mainly: NO ARNIE? Did I miss something?

“’Big Trouble in Little China’”
Agreed. My son and I love this movie! When it comes on my wife’s eyes just roll back in her head and she leaves the room. Best line from “Little China: — “”Look, I’m a reasonable guy, but I’ve just experienced some very unreasonable things...” - Jack Burton
Also...how about “Open Range” being added to this list?

"If you must remove "High Noon", replace it with "Outland" with Sean Connery as the marshall on a space staion." With this as the memorable quote:
" I'd like a report of all the incidents in the last six months. I'd like it soon, or I might just kick your nasty ass all over this room."

Hi, AFreeBird:
To quote Doc Holliday: “I beg to differ, sir.”
Take a look at the Ruhr Dam bombing run during ‘The Dam Busters’ and you will find nearly all the grist for the Death Star attack at the end of ‘Star Wars’.
Though ‘633 Squadron’ is a very decent war flick. One of the best ‘Mossie’ films made. The Technical/Boffin end (The Skip Bomb development and using spotlights for gauging low altitude) puts ‘Dam Busters’ in the Classic/Near Classic realm.
Jack.

"I loved 12 O'Clock High. But then I like just about anything involving airplanes. "Catch 22", "Strategic Air Command","Fly Boys", "Dawn Patrol", The Blue Max. "Battle of Britain", even gay boy's "Top Gun"." My tastes are pretty much in line with yours for aircraft movies, but I did think "The Memphis Belle" blew great big chunks. It used every bad cliche from every bad war movie, combined that with bad acting, managed to make the entire air crew look like half-trained morons and topped it all off with the inability to show a decent ME-109.
"The Tuskegee Airmen" was a pretty good airplane movie.

Have seen all but 15 on the list and of those 15 I don’t I’ve missed anything worth seeing.

I would add Lonesome Dove. Sure it was a mini-series, but it’s as essential for manliness as anything on the list.

"I would add Lonesome Dove. Sure it was a mini-series, but its as essential for manliness as anything on the list."Absolutely. I'd add another well done mini-series 'The Stand'. Also add Open Range and Sgt.York as well.
