Funny, I find South Park has recently reached the level of perversion that I find truly entertaining. On the other hand, I can't stand the Simpsons.
I think the show is getting better than ever. It is becoming more subtle and more difficult for the slow minded to comprehend. Good thing there are 600+ other channels.
Don't worry, there is always the Food Network.

You have to give Parker and Stone a pass on the second half of last
season. It’s not easy to write SP episodes AND prepare a big time Broadway play “the Book of Mormon”.
It wasn’t their best work.
That is pretty ironic, for some to say the show has BECOME perverted. They do manage to stick some poignant, hysterical, irreverent and brilliant stuff in between.
You don’t get this kind of following and audience by just doing penis and jokes. There is a lot more to it.
Thats exactly what I think. If it was all penis jokes, it would be stale after 1 episode. But there is relevance in their stories. Also, they do a good job of poking fun at dirty jokes (eek, a penis and the Bono is crap episodes) and show a good amount of irony in their own views.
My favorite example is when they did the chat roulette episode. “You gotta put up with a lot of d1ck5 before you find a real friend.”
That one was hysterical.

As demonstrated in the “Cartman Joins NAMBLA” episode, we all agree these perverts should be burned in hot oil.
