Orly Taitz: Obama's Long-Form Birth Certificate Should Say 'Negro' Not 'African'
TPMMuckraker ^ | 4/27/2011 | Ryan J. Reilly

Posted on 04/27/2011 10:54:31 AM PDT by jdoug666

"In those years ... when they wrote race, they were writing 'Negro' not 'African'," Taitz says. "In those days nobody wrote African as a race, it just wasn't one of the options. It sounds like it would be written today, in the age of political correctness, and not in 1961 when they wrote white or Asian or 'Negro'."

Boy is this gal ever Mayor of Crazytown.

Did she, amid her fervor and frenzy, miss that the COLB said the exact same thing as the “long form”.

That would be surprising to a grand total of NOBODY with a brain - as the info on the COLB would be taken from the “long form”.

In those days, “Negro” meant a US-born citizen of African descent. An African-born man who did not want to be confused with American blacks would have been explicit about putting down “African”.

Elizabeth Speer (Buchanan’s mother): Born on 17 Mar 1767 in Adams County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Speer Buchanan was made a U.S. citizen upon founding of the United States of America. Therefore, Buchanan’s mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth.

Andrew Jackson and both parents ‘grandfathered’ under Article 1, Section 2, clause 5 (’presidential eligibility’) because born ‘jus soli’ prior to adoption of the U.S. Constitution.

Jessie Janet Woodrow (b. 1826 in England) was a naturalized U.S. citizen upon marriage to Wilson’s father, Joseph Ruggles Wilson, born in Ohio in 1822. Her citizenship pre-dates Wilson’s birth.

There must have been someone born in Hawaii in ‘61 with negro on the certificate.

That’s why it took them over 2 years to disclose his fake birth COLB. It took all of that time to change all of the birth certificates from “Negro” to “African.”

They must have been the first to utilize Political Correctness in the United States!

The simple way to prove that the word “African” was added is to offer a reward to any Black person who was born in Hawaii in 1961-1962 to bring forth their original birth certificate and show whether it had “African” rather than “Negro” on it.

I’m absolutely sure that it would take about 24 hours to prove the point.

Not all Africans are “negro” as the term was used to indicate race in that time period. A 1971 era college course used a textbook on “Black African History” for “Black American Studies” which described the history of the Continent. It noted how North Africa and East Africa were principally populated by racial and ethnic groups which were not “negroid” in race or culture. Instead, they tended to be so-called Caucasian groups: Italic, Norman, Arabic, Semitic, and so forth. This textbook described the expansion of the Ibo tribes from the area of the Congo in Central Africa about 500-600 years ago when the development of genetic sickle cell anemia among the Ibo favored survival and rapid population expansion out of Central Africa and into the areas of East Africa and South Africa.

Africa is and always has been the home of a diverse range of so-called races. Descibing Obama as African in race is even less accurate than describing him as modern North American in race. The U.S. Census provides a typical example of how the terminology for race was in use in 1950 and 1960:

The 1950 census was the first to use the term “race” as the sole descriptor. “Race” appeared in the census for the first time in 1900 as part of the category “color or race”—terminology that continued through 1940. The 1950 census specified seven races: White, Negro, American Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and Other race (spell out).
[….]
In 1960 the term “race” disappeared from the census and was replaced by “Is this person - White, Negro, American Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Hawaiian, Part Hawaiian, Aleut, Eskimo, (etc.)?”
[….]

Someone gave a very logical explanation for the use of African on one of the other threads this morning. I’ve been trying to find it but can’t. Hawaii said they use whatever the parents tell them - there were several classifications for race that were in use in KENYA, and African was one of them. If that’s the way O Sr. self-identified it’s more than likely that’s what they were told and why they used it.

...that might have even been regional. I never heard the classification “African” for blacks until the early 1990’s. I was quite well read, culturally sharp and lived different places within New York State.

1. Since he actually was an African, they may have called him that to separate him from American blacks. Ironically, it may have been their conscious or unconscious way of treating a foreigner.

2. People have to be realistic about the “natural born citizen” having to have two citizen parents thing. Whichever way you come down on that, can you really see five supreme court justices ruling that Obama is not “natural born”?

All four of the liberals would vote for him, & I would be shocked if A. Kennedy didn’t too. In fact I see it being a 9-0 or 8-1 ruling that he was natural born...that’s if they even took the case.

all persons born in US may be citizens, but not natural born...

People need to start educating themselves and stop spewing stuff you hear on tv..

You'll need to start with John Roberts, who swore him in twice, having full knowledge of his parentage. GFL!

That in itself raises some rather interesting questions. First, it should be noted that Hawaii and Alaska tended to use race as a classification ways generally not found in the other states. That said, you have to ask who supplied the information which went into the blank space for race? Was it the family, or was it the attending physician or another official?

If the person who supplied the information was an attending physician or other official, it would appear they would be ignorant of a customary Kenyan usage of the African term as a descriptor for race.

If the father was not present at the birth, it is also a stretch of the imagination that any member of the Dunham family or the mother would be acquainted with the Kenyan usage of the term, especially since the mother was supposed to be studying anthropology as a career choice. Now, that is not to say it is impossible, but it does appear to be implausible at first glance.

If the current Certificate of Live Birth and the previous Certification of Live Birth were forgeries, and/or they were based upon a fraudulent birth registration filed by the grandmother to conceal birth in a foreign nation, it seems unlikely the grandmother and her family would be acquainted with the usage of the term used by the Obama family in Kenya. Again, it is not impossible, but it is implausible enough to warrant attention.

There is a difference between a citizen and a natural born citizen. A natural born citizen is born on US soil by two parents who are US citizens or natural born citizens themselves.

A US citizen can be:

- naturalized or made into a citizen (legal aliens)
- born on US soil
- born of just one US parent/one foreigner on US soil
- born of one US parent/one naturalized parent on foreign soil

The age of the mother at the time of the birth counts as well when the formula is being calculated.

It’s easy to be a citizen, but there is only one way one can be a NBC.

As I explained on another thread:

Although my husband and I are NBC’s, my son is not. He was born in a German hospital. It was explained to us, in detail, when my son was born that he was a US Citizen, but NOT natural born and the only stipulation of his citizen status was that he could never be POTUS.

McCain had a similar issue, BUT he was born in a US hospital on a US base which was classified as US soil in a foreign country. That is the difference between him and my son. HE WAS BORN ON US CLAIMED SOIL. And no, not every baby born in a military hospital in a foreign country is in the same boat. In some places, the US rents the land from the foreign government and it is not US soil. It’s technical and legal and only come up when someone is trying to be POTUS.

For this reason, I think that it’s terribly unjust for military families to sacrifice so much for their country, only to have this over their heads, but I do accept the limitation. It is the Law. Period.

The president must respect the Constitution and the Law.

If Obama was born of a US mother, he is a citizen. Not a problem. But he cannot be a NBC just because his did is not.

Now there is some question about this regarding a woman having a baby with a foreigner on US soil and that’s when the age of the mom comes into question. (I believe that she has to have been an adult US citizen for 4 years before the birth for it to count, but don’t quote me on that. I’m sure there are other FReepers who can deal with that point better than I.) But a SCOTUS decision makes that issue moot. It ruled that a NBC must have both mom and dad as US citizens and be born on US soil years ago.

The whole birth certificate issue is weird to me for this very reason. The paper itself was never the real issue. We *know* he’s not a NBC because of his dad.

So what’s the real reason he’s worked so hard not to debunk this crap? Is it because he wasn’t born here (as many birthers suspect) and that would completely invalidate his position without question? Is it because the BC reveals something that would destroy his reputation or cause embarrassment? What the heck is going on with this guy??

Thank God for fighters like Orly Taitz! She is brilliant and patriotic - more than I can say for many of the obvious obots that visit - and she won’t let us down.

As for anyone who believes this second document is anything but a forgery, some choice words:

gullible
naive
green (dark green)
fleeceable
naif
sucker
credulous
easily taken in
easy mark
falling hook, line, and sinker
foolish
kidding one’s self
naivete
easily deceived, tricked, or duped

Birthers are not going to give up, especially with Obama now on the ropes. He’s just given a very weak left jab, but it is a mere gesture as he takes one last look around, before crawling off the canvas...

I AM NOT A BIRTHER! But this one is too interesting to ignore. Upon hearing all the fuss about the newly released Certificate of Live Birth, I decided to open it up in Adobe Illustrator and see just what we were given by the White House. Judge for yourself.
