I have created a summary (posted below) of Barack Obama Senior's immigration files, which were recently released. The summary is tabular, hopefully allowing a more systematic analysis. I have highlighted in yellow the more interesting portions. This summary is useful as an introductory research tool or a concise summation for semi-interested readers. Details are excluded except where particularly interesting or unobvious.

When posting comments about a particular document, please include the page # (first column of table). I welcome questions, too.

The girl's purported reason for her trip was to visit her sick sister; however, a check by the London embassy failed to find a sister anywhere in England. The reason for her visit to London is redacted, but it could be an abortion (my speculation). BHO Sr. is "likely her boy friend" and is "considered by [redacted] to be a slippery character." Obama is a muslim, or at least understands and respects Muslim culture, he wouldn't consider his father a polygamist at all. He merely said he was divorced from an inconvenient wife.

There were a few items that stood out for me. Would you include these too?

p 22 - Unitarian Universalist Service Committee sponsored the mystery woman.
p 25 - does not list a wife or child
p 27 - says he's married with a child named Roy Obama
p 35 - says he's married to Ann, but doesn't list any children — signed Aug. 31 1961
p 38 — memo says he married Stanley Ann Dunham on Feb 2, 1961 on Maui Hawaii.

I'm not sure that I'll be updating this. I'll think about it and let you know.

Anyway, FR_addict, as your comments suggest, BHO Sr. demonstrated a pattern of signing incomplete forms. He omitted marital status, children, DoB and associates (persons visited) multiple times. This behavior suggests a willful intent to withhold information.

Potential items of importance in FOIA document:

1) BHO, Sr birth year — ratio 4 to 1, 1934 vs 1936 respectively

2) BHO, Sr had at least 6-7 addresses, one of which was Baltimore, MD -—http://www.koinoniafoundation.com/history/

3) According to doc, he arrived by flight into New York on British Overseas Airway Corp (BOAC on other docs in FOIA) on Aug 9, 1959

4) His initial contact in 1959 was Frank Laubach in NYC (which would confirm the Elizabeth Mooney mentoring I posted in African Colonial thread).

The page in question (21) states that BHO Sr. "Appeared 4/21/64 with I-539." This is his I-539 form on pages 14-15. Note page 14, dated 7 days earlier than page 21, reads "IF MARRIED, GIVE NAME AND ADDRESS OF SPOUSE: Ann Obama, USC, Legal separation 2 mos. ago". Pages 14-15 would have already been in BHO Sr.'s file by the time page 21 was written. Because the page 21 language, "The wife in the Phillipines from whom he is separated is a U.S.C.", is so similar to the description of Ann on page 14, I believe this page 21 language is probably describing Ann. Hope that makes sense.

As to your document #34, I think you may have misread the note. The word you read Wash: The W may not be a capital letter; the ash part of the word might be ork.

But, whatever the real letters, I believe Washington State University was not Washington State University in 1961 but was instead Washington State College.

That note is somewhat important because if you view the word as "work", it might be a note regarding her intention to work at the Hawaii University.

If the word is really Wash (Wash State University), it might be intended as a reference to the U of W which is a state university of the state of Washington.

And on August 31, if the word is "Wash", the timing of that note is out of place because by then, Stanley Ann is committed (probably prior to August 1) to attending the U in Seattle, and in fact is probably there. The reference might be timely if it is to a different woman, Anna. Anna may not have reached Seattle until later in the fall of 61 or early 62.

The undergraduate degree (the BA), he went to summer school--he started early and three summers did the fourth year.

Even in the biological sciences it takes about 4 years for an MD/PhD student to get the PhD part and that's not as rigorous a PhD as the straight PhD programs. Folks over on the liberal arts side spend a LOT longer getting their doctorates. 12 years isn't surprising in anthropology. Mine took 7 because my original thesis advisor up and left the school after my first two years and I had to find another advisor and create an entirely new thesis project in a different department, though still in the biological sciences. There's no way in the world Obama Sr completed everything but dissertation in 2 years. The more likely story is that Harvard sent him packing, probably with a terminal masters degree.

FYI, it’s easy to download and save the “55 pages” of JPG image files found on the Scribd page.

First load the page in Firefox (not in IE).

Then save (Ctrl-S) the complete page after selecting: - “Web Page, complete”.

Then go to the browser cache folder and copy the 55 files that are larger than 100,000 bytes, and that also contain the text-string “JFIF”.

Note: - these 55 files will already be numbered from ‘1-’ to ‘55-’ in the Firefox cache.

For example, in Windows 7, the cache folder is found here: -

Could be both. The teacher at the Maseno school is quoted as saying he left Kenya as soon as he completed school there in 1953. The question is, if he did, where did he go? Three or four years as an illegal somewhere in the US, quick trip home and back again, legal?

Here’s the location of the Firefox cache for Win XP -

Also, I forgot to mention — these cached-file-names have NO extensions — and you’ll need to rename the 55 files so the names end in .JPG.

If you find more than 55 ‘JFIF’-containing files (JFIF is a searchable text-string), that are over 100,000 bytes, then you want the ones that are appropriately dated... You could just empty the cache before saving the page as “Web Page, complete”, and that will cause Firefox to download fresh copies of the 55 image files.

Those 55 files stay in the cache (at they do least here), and they don’t get copied to the “files for”-folder of the “Web Page, complete” — the main page of which is saved to your Documents folder; the rest into a new sub-folder. (delete all that after saving the 55 images)

BTW, I don’t use Windows Explorer for all this, because this entire job can easily be completed in 2 or 3 minutes, if you use the correct tool, which is ZTreeWin: -
