Recently completed a “carry” class. Amazing how many older ladies who have never, never shot any kind of gun are enrolled....they are not stupid!
Technically not in Las Vegas, but in the Metro area...I am not surprised. This area (Las Vegas Metro area) is just a moment away from anarchy at any given moment. I’d be absolutely shocked if there were even more “spontaneous” crime waves as it heats up. The Las Vegas area is virtualy unbearable without creature comforts in the summertime, and people are unemployed all over the place, whether the government hides the facts or not. Expect more of this type of behavior, and not just in Paradise, but all over the country.In the 60s Las Vegas was just over a hundred thousand people. Now it's close to 2 million.
I think it's going back down, probably to the 500,000 range.
$8/gallon gasoline and Las Vegas do not mix.
The criminals certainly are getting bolder by the day, aren’t they? I think by summmer 2012, before the election, there will be heavy criminal activity all over the place, just see if there isn’t. They used to stay where they belonged, now they are haunting all the places everywhere, with formerly nice places becoming a daycare for kids/teens/criminals.
Ya, Michelle Obama has told us that many inner city areas are “food deserts”, due to the lack of major chain supermarkets.
But, can you really blame businesses for avoiding certain areas of our cities?
I’m not sure if Michelle thinks supermarkets avoid the inner city due to racism. Don’t want to put words in her mouth. But she did say that the “food desert” idea means that many people eat too much junk food, because they don’t get fresh fruits and veggies in liquor stores and convenience stores in the ghetto.
...and in the rest of the civilized world's eyes, they're all just part of "Obama's TRASH."
Completely!!! This was a formerly nice neighborhood, nothing too fancy, just nice, middle-class. Now it’s full of graffiti and crime.... We still have quite a lot of original homeowners (from the 1960s), and I really feel sorry for them!
I don’t know if this is a cliche by now, but I really feel like I’m living in “Lord of the Flies.”
