So where have you bought and how?

How do you manage it? I somehow cannot wrap my mind around it.

Thanks

Not everyone is a financial rocket scientist.

I think being basically literate and coherent is more in question.

You can also setup a Precious Metals IRA - and convert IRA holdings to PMs.

Once the account is set up (for example - Sterling Trust) - you transfer IRA funds to the account. You can find best Au/Ag purchases (such as Northwest Territorial Mint) - and then the funds from your IRA pay for the transaction, and the PM IRA Account people arrange to store the PM for you at a suitable secure facility. (Fees vary ...but Sterling Trust seems to be quite reasonable.)

Sterling Trust has a 4 page fact sheet on what can and can’t be stored in a PM IRA ....usually - very high purity PMs (so no, you could not put 90% silver coins in the account, and South African Krugerands aren’t sufficient purity.)

I figure that if you don’t know what I mean, you cannot answer my question.

Is it ok to put it in one’s safety deposit box. I have read that this may not be the case. That one may lose it there in a general breakdown.

I figure that if you don’t know what I mean, you cannot answer my question.

So you only want financial advice from folks who write like texting teenagers?

If taking the time to actually communicate your message effectively isn't worth your effort, why do you expect real responses?

Isn't that a self-fulfilling prophesy?

Help!

Help is pretty good, but if you really want to purchase some vintage Paul McCartney, I'd suggest Abbey Road.

I’ve bought from APMEX before.

It’s simple, the fees aren’t outrageous and they ship within a few days.

You can save a little by going elsewhere but then delivery is slow, the interface sucks, the selection isn’t as good and they don’t update you on when your order ships.

For the extra few bucks, I keep going back to APMEX.

Take an ad out in your local paper advertising that you buy gold/silver, sterling, coins etc. Learn how to buy properly or you can get hurt big-time.

It’s working out great for me. I’m heading out the door right now and will get back to you in a few hours with some tips that I learned the hard way.

later..panax

It is important to accurately and precisely communicate in order to get the best answers, not to protest when you are gently ribbed while your fellow Freepers attempt to guess at your meaning.

That is why the convention is to use the word or phrase and THEN use an acronym or abbreviation.
