Miss Elizabeth died in 2003 of a drug overdose. That article makes it sound like she was in the car with her ex husband.

The article says that she died in 2003 and that his current wife named Barbara was with him.

The Macho Man played minor league baseball for the Cardinals organization in the early 70s.

Apparently he was quite a personality at that time too. He was a catcher at one point and he used to like to talk to the batters while they were in the box with “colorful” language.

The report said a woman in the vehicle, identified as Barbara Lynn Poffo, suffered minor injuries. A statement from Stamford, Conn.-based World Wrestling Entertainment said the passenger was the wrestler's wife.

Good Memories of watching WWF...funny how it seemed so good at the time and now watching re-runs years later, I am like...wow...kinda sorry excuse to be watching. Still some good memories of it all.

“the young woman named Miss Elizabeth who often accompanied him, died in a car crash Friday in Florida.”

Going by your quote above, it suggested some confusion. Maybe something got mixed up in the cut and paste.

Wasn't aware of that.

I remember him from the glory days of the WWF.

Rowdy Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, George the Animal Steele.

Lots of good memories.

R.I.P. Macho Man.

I always liked The Iron Sheik.

Have you ever read that guy's Twitter feed?

It's like performance art, only entertaining.
