The radio preacher who sparked an international media frenzy by predicting the end of the world last month has suffered a stroke.
Harold Camping was rushed to hospital from his Alameda, California home on Thursday night.
The 89-year-old has survived the stroke - but there are fears that the gravelly, famous voice he used to make his predictions to millions around the world will never be the same.

I used to listen to his show years ago. It’s sad to see him go off the rails as he did. And what a monumental waste of money (course it’s about what the government spends in two hours).

I did ask God to make emphatically clear to Harold that The Lord was not blessed or pleased with his pontifications.
I trust The Lord to choose the best ways in such matters.
However, I think the Board of Directors still need to remove him from all duties relating to the ministry.

Actually, his over all integrity is way above average

about his pride that his Biblical interpretations are better than everyone else’s

in his refusal to help out those who went bankrupt publicizing his nonsense.
He’s not the type to fake something for sympathy.

I was incredibly serious when I prayed that The Lord make emphatically clear to him how The Lord felt about Camping’s nonsense pontifications.
I think we all have a need to know what we do not need to know!

Actually, he’s not just like Benny Hinn.
Very different personalities and very different blind spots and very different sorts of major sins.
Harold’s general integrity is way above Hinn’s, from what I know of Hinn.
Harold is greatly off, imho, on the 2 areas I mentioned above.
Yes, except for his trashing Pentecostal theology while taking lots of Pentecostals’ money . . .
his teaching on the basic Gospel and basic Christian doctrines was pretty solidly conventional.
When he wandered into fringe areas . . . he could be pretty radical—evidently more so as he aged.
