No sooner did I write my earlier post on Marvel's dhimmitude and offense to 9-11 Families and opponents of jihad, now I discover on DC Comics' schedule that they may have one of their own coming soon. In this Comics Alliance post by David Uzumeri, a Canadian contributor to their leftist-slanted site, the following description is presented for Superman #712:...Meet Los Angeles's newest super hero in the latest Chapter of "Grounded": Sharif! But Sharif discovers that in today's current cultural climate, some people don't want his help – they just want him gone. Can Superman aid Sharif and quell a prejudiced public, or are there some problems too big even for the Man of Steel to solve?

Black Adam is probably the best representation of a Middle Eastern mentality; he is arrogant, abrasive, and rather inclined towards unleashing all manner of violence, brutality, and death. A few years ago, during the whole 52 storyline, when the DC Universe jumped forward a year in time, Black Adam was responsible for starting World War Three. He completely destroyed a neighboring country, killed millions of innocents, sank an American aircraft carrier, attacked the United States mainland, and killed or maimed a number of superheroes.
But the difference is Black Adam was a villain, Sharif is going to be considered a “good guy.”
For the most part. But Black Adam was a member of JSA on several occasions.
Anyway, comments on DC’s dip into PC-perversion? I guess it’s not the first time, but they’ve certainly forgotten what 9-11 was all about, and every Muslim attack that followed. If Superman was the true superhero they think he is, he ought to be heat-raying muslims for the way they treat their women.
I just want to scream about the political correctness at both DC and Marvel. This character, Superman renouncing his US citizenship, and the pushing of the LGBT agenda are why I keep a close eye on the discussion forums before heading down to see Glen at the Comic Vault.
What are “safe” comics anymore? It’s not Archie, they’ve got their first gay character in those pages, too, and they’ve got the enviro-crap up the whazoo!
I like to draw comics, I’m considering maybe creating a character that is a bit old-fashioned, pro-America, etc., like what Captain America USE to be. It could be an interesting experiment. I know I’d get a lot of enemies, because I would have him kicking Muslim @$$ in issue after issue...
With DC, I like JSA, JSA All-Stars, Teen Titans, Titans, and Batgirl. In the upcoming relaunch, I think I'll add Deathstroke, Men of War, Blackhawks, and Red Hood and the Outlaws to my pull list. Over at Marvel, I like Astonishing X-Men and New Mutants.
I also like to go back in time to find older comics from the Silver and Bronze Ages that grab my interest. I love the Question, particularly the Charlton version although the DC version wasn't too bad, although DC ruined that a few years ago by killing Vic Sage off and replacing him with the lesbian Renee Montoya, whom I rather liked back when she was straight...arrgh. I love the old G.I. Joe, G.I. Combat, Wolverine, New Mutants, Excalibur, and Uncanny X-Men (I love Claremont's original run) and can usually pick them up for a song thanks to the current economy.
