Good morning to all.
I thought I would get this thread up bright and early so I could concentrate on work until the trial begins. I believe it starts at 9:00 a.m. today.
The State is presenting its important rebuttal case, which will include two Gentiva representatives, one of which will likely be a custodian of records. That person would need to authenticate Cindy's time sheets, which were subpoenaed. The State plans to admit that evidence to impeach her testimony that it was she, and not Casey, who did the computer searches on chloroform. The chloroform searches go directly to premeditation, a critical element in a death penalty case.
I understand that closing arguments will be heard Saturday (tomorrow) and then the jury will "get deliberated." (I love saying that!)
Time to put on a big pot of coffee...
Don’t think the jury has missed that. She is always involved when it comes to saving her own skin. She has shown no love for Caylee.
She has shown no love for her family, maybe a little to her brother. But the tears during his testimony was because he knew she threw him under the bus by accusing him of molestation in order to save her own skin. That is why the tears. It was disgusting.
I have never understood why she didn’t just make her defense that Caylee and she were going for a swim. The phone rang and she went to get it it, came out and Caylee was dead in the pool. She panicked and knew she would get blamed and made the rest up.
What she can’t explain is why she didn’t call 911. Why the computer searches for chloroform, neck breaking, etc. Bringing her family into it was nothing other than hate and spite on her part. Yet, it backfired today.
Baez is a total dumbass for beliving her. Or maybe that was the plan. Throw the case and keep seeking a mistrial.

I’ve not followed the trial, but have friends who’ve been totally obsessed with it, and I love a good trial with twists and turns. Never doubted this young woman killed her daughter. (nice, fair juror I’d make!)
I never said she would walk out free. In the opening guilt to many crimes was admitted. However I think that the whole bunch are Looney tunes. George is involved in it. Cindy is involved in it way more than is apparent. They are so devious it is amazing. All of them. I believe her friends and the Dogs. But come on...Psychics pinpointing the body to has been Private Eyes from a Teddy Bear???

No doubt. How could you keep them out of this loop. They visit with family in private and you know the families are tuned in to Nancy Grace every day. I would not be surprised if the verdict is ToT MoM Guilty on all counts. Burn her right now in front of the Courthouse before we can get to her.

I think what you really proved is...I thought I knew but I really don’t. However, here’s what I can tell you.
I don’t live in Orange County but Brevard County, an ajoining county to the east coast, population about 500,000.
In the local phone book...
There is NO listing for: Brevard, County of...District Attorney.
There is NO listing for: Florida, State of...District Attorney.
There IS a listing for: Brevard, County of...County Attorney.
There IS a listing for: Florida, State of...State Attorney.
There IS a listing for: Florida, State of..Public Defender.
Maybe different states have different titles but I’m pretty sure that in law books this case will be known as The State of Florida v Casey Marie Anthony, or Florida v Anthony for short.
Oh, please. Tot Mom is guilty as hell no matter how annoying Nancy Grace is. Nancy Grace being a loud mouth does not equal that little creep being Mother of the Year.
And neither of us know how the jury is going to go. They may acquit her on all the charges if the Defense - finally - does a good job on closing arguments.

I think you’re far into conspiracy theories. I have a friend into that and he’s almost impossible to talk to when he gets on one. I have to break the telephone connection with him or I’ll go nuts, too.

This will be my weekend entertainment. Still just hearing the news blurbs the past few weeks, it’s been hard not to always think of Caylee, which makes all the soap opera more pathetic.

From what I’ve seen in other cases, it’s a matter of “you can’t kick a man when he’s down enough.” The State is making sure its rebuttal is effective.
Holy crap! You know what I just realized? Cindy lied to the state and Baez in her DEPOSITION back in 2009. THAT is what Linda and Jose were ref’g to in their questioning on the stand- “Mrs Anthony, didn’t you testify, under oath in your deposition that YOU searched for clorophyl/cloroform”?
That’s why they used her testimony in the trial- because of what she said 2 years ago.
Otherwise, there was no reference point for the defense or the state to go back to...she was lying from the START.

But I have one computer and the date and time system on it is way off. That is not a conspiracy it is just the way it is. Do you know if the times on the searches were from the home computer? I do not.
