Nobody is forcing anybody to sample this fine delicacy. However, just the sight of somebody eating boiled okra would convince ya that there is a place for food laws.

You put that okra in a tomato soup and that's some fine crunchy eats.
You need the acid bath to slough off the slime!

You want as fattening as possible?
How about a Fried Mars Bar or Snickers? They are quite popular in Scotland.

More like a Kool-Aid flavored Hush Puppy. I kinda figured it would have to come out that way. I'm just crazy enough to try one, though. Heck, folks are making fried butter here in Texas!

just the sight of somebody eating boiled okra would convince ya that there is a place for food laws. My parents grew up in the Deep South, and loved okra, but they could never get us kids to touch it. I actually tossed my whole dinner once, because my dad insisted that I eat a full helping.
That said, a friend finally got me to try some fried okra a few years back, and to my amazement, I loved it. Can't get enough of that stuff when Mommy makes a batch.

It sounds ... I going to go with unique. Folks are coming up with stranger and stranger eats these days. Some are winners, and some are just......weird.
Never tried this fried Kool-Aid, myself, but who knows? I might give it a whirl if I get the chance.

You want as fattening as possible? How about a Fried Mars Bar or Snickers? I've heard about them being sold at Texas fairs, but I've never tried one. Don't get me close to one, though. I'm part Scottish, and I live in Texas!

Took me years to appreciate okra that had been de-slimed...funney how things from childhood skew your viewpoints.

Yep, it was fried okra, sampled years later, that convinced me that de-slimed okra was OK.

Yep, it was fried okra, sampled years later, that convinced me that de-slimed okra was OK. That's the only way to go. Now, if we could just figure out a way to de-slime some of these politicians....

Just as a matter of curiosity for one who is clearly unsophisticated in such matters - how on Earth does one ‘fry’ Kool Aid; it’s a DRINK.

how on Earth does one fry Kool Aid; its a DRINK. My wife explained it to me. I believe what she said, is that you first freeze the liquid. You then batter coat it. The frying oil has to be just the right temperature, and you only fry the balls in the oil for a few seconds.
