I scored 29 out of 33. I graduated from high school with a C grade point average and spent one year at a community college, 15 years ago. So I feel pretty good about that score.

My question: has anyone told this to Obama?

Yes. He is not interested since he is not calling it a "war". It is a Kinetic Military Action (KMA) no, I am not kidding.

BTW the president can commit the troops for 60 days if he is convinced that it is necessary before going to Congress for a Declaration of War or, what seems to be the equivalent now days, Authorization of the Use of Force. This was meant for times of emergency such as the British or Canada invading while Congress was out of town.

It was not meant for how Obama is using it.

You were inattentive. The question was an historical one, not a theoretical one, to wit:

Which of the following fiscal policy combinations has the federal government most often followed to stimulate economic activity when the economy is in a severe recession?

The answer given, to decrease taxes and increase spending is the one typically pursued (incorrectly in one aspect, as you correctly -- but irrelevantly -- point out.)

I believe this is the first time I have ever gotten them all on one of this type test.

33 out of 33.

81.82% but if I eliminate outliers and selectively adjust for environmental factors (aka MMGW techniques)I get 97.2%.
Pretty good for a retired engineer I’d say.

I scored 78.79%. 26 correct answers out of 33 questions. Not bad. Some were very easy. If the average Joe get less than 50% they need a refresher course in general civics.

30/33 — but I was a history major with an interest in economics. And I am a public school teacher too! I would love to give this test to my colleagues.

The three that I missed were easy ones that I thought too much about. Should have gone with my gut.

What bears leave in the woods is smarter than the average politician.

I missed one but would argue against their answer:

Question: If taxes equal government spending, then:
Your Answer: government debt is zero
Correct Answer: tax per person equals government spending per person on average

The problem with their answer is that in a progressive tax structure many will pay more than others.
