You would think that all those calculations on time served would have already been done. In any event, no beach time today.
Public is calling for perjury charges against Cindy. I personally feel that Cindy's wording was such that they can't touch her on perjury.
The good thing is, with such an angry public, I don’t believe Casey will be having a “beautiful life”.
Wouldn’t trade places with her, she will be ultimately punished by public disdain and ostracized.
She will have to remain in isolation the rest of her pathetic life to be safe.

She got four years. Thats 1460 days. She has been in jail for 995 days. She can get up to 15% gain time.
So that reduces the 1460 to 1241 days. That leaves 246 days. Of course for every month she gets days knocked off.
So figure six months or so.
The August date they were talking about was for the restitution hearing. She’ll be out in Jan/Feb.
Yes. But Baez has to help her fill out the papers to apply for state provided attorney and file them. Fox analyst says 7 months -- perhaps Feb.
I have great admiration for her that has grown and grown. Ashton’s gone but she’s there fighting. Hope she doesn’t make the tv rounds like Ashton.

This is not how the judicial system works:
” When a juror begins a trial they are to have a presumption of innocence for the defendant. After the State finishes their case, a juror, as in this case, then concludes the person is guilty. Then the defense comes in and presents their case. After the defense is finished and closing arguments are completed, a juror (jury) still believes a person is guilty, the defense did not provide reasonable doubt at a level sufficient to acquit the defendant.”
It is up to the PROSECUTION to prove their case...ALL THE DEFENSE HAS TO DO IS TO PRESENT SOME REASONABLE DOUBT.
The defense doesn’t have to PROVE anything.
What about the time for check fraud? Shouldn’t this sentence be added on top of that one?

That is interesting, my husband (also an atty) is appalled by the outcome and is still angry and in shock that they said not guilty.

I dont know about FLA, but in our state, with sentences less than 2 years you go to county jail and NOT the state prison. Not a fun place to be—but its better than going to Walpole...or wait, Cedar Junction.
