The "Lady of Introd" has been lying on her right side for about 5,000 yearsnow THAT is a dirt nap. probably tired of neanderathal kids running around asking when the woolly mammoth will be ready to eat and whining that no one had discovered fire yet.

[T]he tiny Alpine village of Introd, in the Val d’Aosta, famous to be the preferred vacationing spot for both Pope John II and his successor Benedict XVI.
Pretty sure he meant John-Paul II. John II served from 533-535.

It looks like she is missing most of her arms and hands.

“In particular, we still know little about what grains people ate at this time, so the Lady of Introd could provide direct evidence of a diet composed of wheat, barley, or millet,” Killgrove said.
Why “in particular...”? I would think her entire diet would be interesting.
To echo one of the commenters from the site...Was she hot?

Did she look like this??
To: BubbaJunebug
If she looked like that she would have been buried facing him. ;-)
To: SunkenCiv
I wonder how long that rod is. The girlfriend looks like she was fairly tall.

Meter Stick, each section is 250 mm long.

As they spread out from this initial spot, they may find the limbs. If not, they may find this was a burial of a number of people who died at the same time.

The grains used (if any) will show whether they were getting their food from ag or hunting/gathering.

She appears to have long legs for her torso size, but it’s difficult to tell. Also, I just noticed in the lower left one of the missing arm bones.

Perhaps whomever buried her had a little snack first...

250 millimeters = 9.84251969 inches times 4, so about a yard. She wasn’t shrimpy.
