Survivor: South Pacific is the 23rd season of Survivor. It begins Wednesday, September 14, 2011 on CBS at 8/7c with a special 90 minute premier.

This season will repeat the Redemption Island theme from last season.

In addition, Brandon is a nephew of Russell Hantz and Whitney is a country music artist.

I was glad to see Semhar go, not personally, just that I thought she was logical. I did not understand the campaign against Cochran. He didn’t stand out to me as weak.
I like Cochran and could see him being middle of the road in physical challenges and who knows, could be exceptional in the mental or the endurance.
Semhar of course could beat all comers on Redemption Island but I doubt it, I don’t think she has the strength.
Ozzy’s interest in keeping her there was so ridiculous. Does he really need a girlfriend or something???
And as for Russel’s nephew, hiding the tats makes them far more significant than just ignoring them. He could have said it was his football nickname or anything else.

Amen! Bringing back old duffuses (duffi) takes away face time from everybody else. I already know enuff about them, I want to know the other survivors. Goes for pseudo returnee Rushole’s nephew.
LOL ... that’s how I feel! I don’t answer the phone or the door during Survivor. Heaven help me if there’s a fire.
I have both Survivor and XFactor set to record to my Windows Media Center PC (using an HD Homerun network HD receiver), and I no longer have to worry about phone calls... Just can’t log onto FreeRepublic until I watched the episodes.
There have been times when circumstances out of my control have made it necessary for me to watch a missed episode the next day on my computer, but I much prefer watching when it is actually airs. It’s just not the same to me, but I am thankful that I have that option. :)
Geezzzz, does Brandon ever have some serious female issues.

Lil Bubba Hantz is suffering from sins of the flesh. I have to remind myself that he’s only 19 years old. Turn away Bubba! Quit staring at Mikayla. She’s a strong player and has not set out to entice you or the other guys from what I can tell. Also - who didn’t see last nights vote on day one? LOL Survivor 101, if there were such a class, would teach you not to make statements that can bite you on the butt ... especially on day 1.

Of course Mikayla is trying to entice. . .anyone she can. She plays for a Lingerie Football League! She runs about the island in her bra and underpants!
But Hantz Jr. strikes me as pretty unstable and paranoid. I don’t think the pressure is good for him.
Am I the only one disgusted with Survivor’s actual survival elements being about eliminated? They went off in a BOAT to fish. A boat! They get water and fire right away, etc. etc. - it’s like a rugged camp.
Re Brandon and his devil woman, she did pull her undies down right in front of everyone and when they are up the cheeks are hanging out. And then she uses her bra as a pocket. That's enough to send most any male into dark thoughts. She's a lingerie fantasy football player (one can only imagine what the heck that might be) yet pulls this little miss innocent clueless act. No, honey, I've got your number and Brandon figured you out from the first. He's handling it all wrong, which might get him an early boot.
Coach is proving again what an idiot he is. What's up with stirring up stuff at the TC and driving the bus up to Brandon knowing full well the kid would throw himself under it. Sorry, Coach but that's blood on your hands when you should have kept your mouth shut to protect your alliance. Any more of this and people might wake up. Though he could be everyone’s pawn to take to the finals. That play would never occur to the mighty dragon slayer. OTOH, he's already spotted his dunce and will be playing mind games with Brandon.
Edna is the smart one of the Umpaloopas. From what we saw, she kept her mouth shut during TC. Good for her. No getting in the middle of the he said/she said so no one mad at her.
Have we heard a word from Rancher Rick?
Monkey Man Ozzy was more at home in the tree tops than on dry land. If he were a new player, I'd like him but he's not so can't wait for his boot. It won't be until far into the merge because his tribe isn't smart enough to get him out about 3 TCs before the merge.
Tokin’ Jim is still a snake in the grass that needs watching.
Note to self - when called to LA for the pre-game fluff, wear 24/7 well structured swim wear to keep your junk corralled 24/7.
I don’t think it’s so much I have a sadistic streak; my desire is to see how the better players kick in with their survival skills (making fire, digging for water, finding food sources, being resourceful with shelter, etc.) - I think they are more deserving for doing so.

Survivor, a fake show for people over 18 that don’t want other people to think they watch Soap Operas.
