And after hearing and reading all the hype, I was definetly...What would be the correct word?...

I can go to Kopps here in Milwaukee...Kopp's is one of the very few things I miss about Milwaukee.

WOW...I guess you thought the burgers were okay, but the fries were awful.

I’ve been to Five Guys a few times (FL and VA) and I thought their hamburgers and fries were pretty darn good. Loads better than McD’s, Wendy’s or any others of the like ~ their burgers taste disgusting to me. The next time I go to Five Guys I’m going to ask for the fries extra crispy though. I like their fries because you order a small, they put a small in your bag and then they dump a bunch more in there! lol I also like the fact that they have vinegar! :~)

Unless Whataburger has changed their formula recently, it is by no means the equivalent of In-N-Out. I love and miss Whataburger but it’s definitely char-broiled and a completely different sandwich than an INO.
I also miss Krystal burgers. It’s always dumfounded me that there’s absolutely NOTHING like Krystals on the West Coast. Closest is White Castles from the grocer freezer’s section. Every time I fly back to Mobile, my family knows to stop for dinner at Krystal on the drive from the airport.

It seems like I always get a great meal at Famous Dave’s. I usually order the ribs but I know they have burgers on their menu. Has anyone tried them?

Some of the best burgers. Five Guys toasts all of those places you named combined. I mean Steak n Shake... REALLY? No comparison.
Cheeseburger all the way + barbecue sauce + jalapeno peppers. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

A good burger not great. A step above fast food burgers. I don't like thin patties. However, the Cajun fries are about as good as it gets.

Funny - I ate at a Five Guys with my 14 yo son today. He ordered fries and could not finish them - the actually are not very good. I was amazed by...
1. how expensive is was ($23 for two of us for lunch and I had bottled water) and 2. How little the burgers were...
It was not bad, but it was not a $23 lunch...
That’s it for me - no more Five Guys... Adios...

$13 for a bacon cheeseburger, reg fry and lg Coke.
I could have eaten twice at Wendy's for that.

What is Kopps and where is it?
I'm about 75 minutes south of Milwaukee.
