Red State pushed on Youtube (vanity)

Youtube is going above and beyond advertising the movie 'Red State' by Kevin Smith. A movie about a bunch of a violent, Christian cult that rants about homosexuals and probably inspired by the Westboro Boro jerks. Is is a deliberate attack on Christians and is in Youtube's Spotlight section, Youtube is actively supporting this movie. Not too surprising. They give a lot of attention to PC and left of center causes; but this is pretty blatant IMO

This is my first vanity. Kind of important and I haven't found any news articles or pro commentary from Townhall saying anything about it.

I wouldn’t give it extra exposure by posting vanities about it here.

Dude, it’s a Lionsgate film. IOW: Trash B (or lower) movie that most people won’t even hear about, even with Youtube pimping it.

Youtube is owned by Google, the same entity that singles out churches and the only non-profits that have to pay to use GMail services (effective March 2011).

99% of all monies the company and its employees give are to Democrats.

I block their scripts and head elsewhere for as much as possible. The last thing I want is for them to know much about me.

It’s not really worth worrying about. They are pimping it so hard online because Smith couldn’t get any distribution for the movie, so he is trying to make some money off video on-demand sales. In other words, the movie flopped before it even saw the light of day. Without a theatrical release though, most of the people who see it will be those who would seek out these kinds of movies anyway.

Besides, Smith is just a quirky comedy/dramedy director, nobody takes his “social commentary” seriously unless they already agree with him.

Great post. Youtube bias has been pretty obvious to a lot of people, especially anti-Jewish, pro Palestinian. It’s promotion of homosexuality and abnormal dysfunctional, immoral behavior and vulgar language is rampant.

There is blatant antiChristian hate imagery in the previews of Red State. It should be considered “hate speech” if we are to have those silly restrictions on our freedom of speech.

“...probably inspired by the Westboro Boro jerks.”

You are right about that, I heard Smith himself say so during an interview on TMZ on Sirius radio.

Yes, I listen to that cr*p. It keeps hubby quiet until Hugh Hewitt comes on at 7 pm on the local station.

And it helps us keep up with the wh*res and wh*re mongers.

I learned about this today. There was an advertisment at the bottom of a Yahoo article about Mark Bingham in honor of 9-11. It would appear Mark was gay, so Yahoo tied in the Red State advert.
