Anyone Having Problems Renewing CC Info For Donations?
None | 09/03/11 | Self

Posted on 09/03/2011 2:27:18 PM PDT by ken in texas

In a nutshell,
- I received a new credit card this month (updated expiration date),
- It's been accepted at stores throughout our city,
- FR won't accept the updated info so I can renew my monthly donation.

I keep getting the message "An error occurred during processing. The card was declined. Please ensure the billing address is correct.".

The information is correct, I've tried FireFox and Internet Explorer.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? (Please don't suggest that I try Chrome or another browser.) This is driving me nuts. If I can't renew I'll stop the donation.

I wonder if it is because it is not freepathon time so that service is turned off? (I have no idea, just guessing). I would bet if you send a FReepmail to Jim he can fix it.

It may be a zip code deal. Ask Jim to cue in your zip code. Or you may have a daily limit on the amount of money you can use...check with your cc holder and if that is the case..have them up your daily limit.

I’ll ping Jim / John also. Just wondering if it was widespread or just me. (I get nervous if it’s just me.) /smile

Give me you credit card info and I’ll try to make a few purchases to see if the problem is your computer

Who knows. The Zip is correct, and there are no cc limit issues.

I would guess it’s because you are in JimRob’s computer having donated with a different CC—

I would call the cc company. They can track the decline and tell you immediately what happened.

Been there... done that.

Maybe it's time for a therapeutic "shut down, cool off, reboot and try later".

Yup, it’s down. And John hasn’t answered my call or email. Don’t know if he’s out or what. Hopefully, he’ll check his messages soon and get it fixed.

Thanks!

Thank you sir.

I'm an old computer geek, so I understand how these things happen.

Will try in a few days... enjoy your Labor Day weekend.

See Post #14.

JimRob said that part of FR is down. Once it's fixed we'll get back to normal.

I got a new card about a month ago and FR allowed me to change the new info and they accept the new card just fine. BTW, I use Firefox. It isn’t your browser it has to be something else. I suggest you ping Jim Robinson and ask him directly about it.
