LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A 67-year-old man was arrested after police said he left vulgar and sexually explicit notes on several telephone poles.
Police arrested Kenneth Downs, and they said the victim was his 15-year-old neighbor.
Over the course of a week, investigators said Downs wrote several vulgar notes on telephone poles near her house. One of them was right in front of her home, which prompted her father to call police.
The rest of the notes were found along the route she walks to catch the bus.
The victim and her father told police they're worried Downs is a danger to the teenage girl.
Downs is facing stalking and harassment charges.

Not sure what this guy’s background is, but I have to assume this is going to happen a lot as the 1960’s radicals age and are unable to satisfy their desires.

Sounds more to me like it’s a “the girls dad goes over and punches the geezers lights out” issue!
I grew up in a time and place that didn’t tolerate the vulgarity and trash that is accepted as the norm today. A person of my generation may find it very difficult to communicate the cultural damage that has been done to the younger set.

It would be helpful if the story provided a little more info on what the notes said.
Poor guy was born too soon. In 20 years, people who think it’s disgusting for old coots to stalk 15 year old girls will be considered HATERS!
The personality/social problems you have as a younger adult, will be blown up big when you loose the ability to control yourself as an old man.
One of my women friends has a mom in a nursing home at age 80. Growing up, one of the problems she had with her mom was constant negativity. Mom was the picture of educated grace in public, but at home...
She went to visit her mom and while there they had a meeting for the residents to discuss hurricane evacuation plans. After the presentation the lady from the county asks if there are any questions. My friend’s mom raises her hand, gets the mic and asks “How come they only send fat ugly people to talk to us here?”

Right or wrong, what prompted the geezer to post the notes? I can imagine scenarios which would push some neurotics over the edge for reasons totally at odds with the implications posted in this thread.

I’m not saying they should quote the notes, since they are supposed to be vulgar. I just think they ought to let us know more, like “suggested a sex act with the child” or “referred to her anatomy”, etc. Then we would know how hard to beat him.
