Gingrich is without a doubt the smartest one out there. Can he be elected? I doubt it.

Perry fell flat on his face. Romney did his usual slick political moves I.E. I am for this, I am also for that.

Cain did fair and needs to step it up-most likely to late for him. Bachman did OK and responded well. Huntsman did his bit as the typical liberal saying what he needs to say to get attention.

Paul was Paul..and screwed the pooch with his statement on the border.

I miss anyone? OH Ya little Rick..typical establishment political answers.

For the amount of time given to each..I’d have to give it to Romney, but, if given the chance, I think Gingrich would have mopped the floor up with him.

They sure did a hit piece on Perry though. Will Romney move up in the polls? Dont know, but tonight didnt hurt him. It hurt Perry a lot.

Winner: Newt. He’ll probably win every one but he’s damaged goods.

Cain: 2nd place. Did amazingly well considering how little time he had.

Perry: Stood his ground. Don’t agree with everything he said but he said it straight out.

Bachmann: Got screwed like Cain did getting ignored. Too uptight but her last exchange was her best. Pulls up news and facts the others don’t.

Romney: Had some good stuff tonite. Still won’t vote for him though because I know his record.

Santorum: Sounds like a Senator, not a Presidential candidate.

Paul: Nuts.

Huntsman: Ain’t voting for Eddie Hascal, no how, no way.

Ultimate winner: Sarah Palin.

The moderators FAILED. All of them came across as strong some more than others, all were serious. It was not a freak show and the mods got a bunch of sings.

I liked what I saw.

I agree with you on Huntsman, Paul and Santorum. I wish this were the show Survivor and we could vote those three off the island for the next two debates.

After tonight I’d really like to see a whittled down five man field with Perry, Cain, Bachman, Romney and Newt.

They all had their great moments, I was heartened and would vote for any of them to throw out Obama.

My attitude completely!

No clear winner, but some clear losers.

SANTORUM - thought Obama was too TIMID on Libyan intervention? Wow. John McCain redux.

HUNTSMAN - He’s angling for another post in the Obama administration claiming we’ve turned our backs on science/Al Gore AGW hug.

PAUL - I appreciate his passion, but that dog won’t hunt in a general. He can’t make his point to me, a person who largely would agree with him.

PERRY - Not a “loser”, per se, but lost ground. He looks real good at times, but I thought he struggled and stammered through some questions, most notably AGW and some foreign affairs questions. Probably still one of the front runners, but the shine came off tonight, and quite a bit.

Everybody else inspired me with confidence that they could get the job done in the general against Obama. I’m a Cain guy, but would gladly support Perry, Romney, Cain, Bachman and Gingrich. Huntsman, Paul and Santorum I cannot deal with.

I meant to say that Newt came off real well, but Romney did too. Cain definitely did much better imo and seems to be learning quick.

In my opinion, Romney and Bachmann were the big winners tonight by Perry’s under-performance, and Cain gets a nice bump.

When’s that Huntsman clown gonna call it quits and get out of our hair anyway? And did you notice Huntsman defending the science of evolution? Does his Bishop know about that?

WINNER: Perry did well but Romney did the most to elevate himself after slipping in the polls a bit. Twin winners, almost by default. Microscopic edge to Romney because he had to stop the bleeding, and he did.

LOSER: Ron Paul

MOST TO LOSE AND DID LOSE: Michele Bachmann

WHY IS HE HERE?: Rick Santorum, John Huntsman

My bias is showing, but I think this was a good night for Herman Cain. As little exposure as he did get, he was spot on with his points, consistently attacked the President's weak performance, and got several rounds of applause.

Newt did a fabulous job. He's like the Dean of the School, teaching everyone in the audience and ruler-whipping the moderators back into shape.

Romney did okay, as did Perry. Romney was much better prepared and did his best to project a Presidential image. Perry often seemed weak on statistics but big on passion - not impressive, sorry.

Ron Paul got some big responses, but only a few times was able to bring his points around and drive them home.

Michelle had great statistics and facts, but seemed almost afraid to show emotion (because the MSM Obama slaves love to bash women for every little thing).

Santorum and Huntsman need to get off the stage.

Overall, I don't think anyone "won". I think everyone maintained the Status Quo.

I don't like Romney, but he probably won just by being a skilled debater. The guy is very polished but he still comes off as a say-whatever-is-necessary chameleon. He kept himself in the game though.

Perry stumbled a little here and there, but gives the kind of decisive answers I think Republican primary voters will gravitate to this time around. The Social Security thing might be a problem. I agree it is a ponzi scheme, but Americans are not ready to hear that. If he isn't careful with how he discusses Social Security, he could make himself unelectable in the general election.

Bachmann was good, but I am not sure she helped herself much.

Ron Paul looked like the crazy uncle again. Worrying about being fenced in just makes him look more insane than usual.

Huntsman had a good night, he's still irrelevant.

Newt is a good debater, again irrelevant.

Cain is always fun to watch and listen too, but he isn't going to win the nomination.

Santorum did well, but he's not going to win the nomination.

This race is between Romney and Perry right now, and Romney probably got the best of Perry this time around on points, but I bet GOP primary voters will still prefer Perry by wide margins.

Perry did okay, but not great.

Newt is still the most intelligent person in the room and his answers were mostly excellent--with exceptions.

Cain did very well. He is very strong when he is on areas having to do with the economy.

Mitt, I have to say probably "won" the debate and that doesn't thrill me at all--not a big fan of him, but would still support him over Obama.

Santorum did okay and I like him but he's going nowhere.

Huntsman is a greenie and that alone is a death sentence. He is weak and also going nowhere.

Paul--just looked bad and sounded insane.
