Yup, that's all it is.

Still, getting hysterical over this tweet is ridiculous. The Republican strategy is to look like we take the jobs crisis as seriously as Hussein and appear reasonable and willing to consider what he's proposed.

Rejecting everything Obama said immediately would be to fall directly into the Democrats "do nothing congress" campaign strategy. Instead we will end up agreeing to some of the tax cuts and oppose most of the rest. Like it or not, polling almost always indicates people want the party's in government to "work together". Appear completely intransigent and Obama's claim that the Republicans won't work with him at all will gain traction and he goes from the failed President, to the President who has solutions but can't get the Republicans to help save the economy - at least in the minds of many in the mushy middle.

The infrastructure spending bill is already written and sitting in the transportation committee of the Senate. It is S.942, submitted by Patty Murray, designed to fund multi-modal infrastructure projects like the one her home state of WA, the Gateway Pacific Coal Terminal.

That’s not the interesting part though, the company that is building this terminal is SSA, the same company of longshoremen who have recently been in the news for the union violence in Longview,WA.

Oh, and it gets better. Patty Murray’s husband is a lifetime employee of SSA, which is fully owned by CARRIX, and Goldman Sachs is the majority stake holder in CARRIX.
