In 2009, an earthquake devastated the Italian city of L'Aquila and killed more than 300 people. Now, scientists are on trial for manslaughter...When the charges were first aired in June 2010 by public prosecutor Fabio Picuti, the case was likened to a frivolous attempt by overzealous local prosecutors to make scapegoats out of some of Italy's most respected geophysicists..."This isn't a trial against science," insists Vittorini, who is a civil party to the suit. But he says that a persistent message from authorities of "Be calm, don't worry", and a lack of specific advice, deprived him and others of an opportunity to make an informed decision

Major excerptation. He didn't predict an earthquake. They put him on trial. That is how deep the Euros are fooled and programmed into this global warming bs. Poor guy probably cared not one way or the other.

I copied and pasted, so ‘neture’ perplexes me in the source. Don't read them often.

Italian judicial courts are among the strangest in the planet.

But I have to be honest, I have some sympathy with the prosecutors here. If the Global Warmers can threaten me with a hate crime for doubting their “science”, I should be able to charge them if they turn out to be wrong.

We have given the PR group called “science” way to much power, and they need to be held accountable.

I understand your point but the agw freaks are predicting disaster and basing it on faulty science and logic. This person is on trial for not predicting anything, he clearly new he could not. They seem to be opposite ends of the ‘scientific’ spectrum to me.

Somewhat. He stated that an earthquake would not happen, and people stayed around that were going to flee.

The lawsuit does not even state that he cleared them. What kind of information are you being fed?

Some of the information came from a blogger living in Italy. I will see if I can find it Sunday.

More information is a good thing. I still don’t see him liable for ‘failure to predict’ though.
