I think Palin knows better than to split the pubbie vote by going third party. No, I think she is planning on running ... but by holding out so long, she generates eeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnndless speculation (i.e., free advertising) in conservative blogging circles, plus she doesn’t have to go through the grilling in the GOP debates. She will ride in on a white horse at the last moment. Rah rah for her. (Yes, I’m sick of hearing about her, I admit. If she wins the nom then of course I will vote for her, but I certainly am not supporting her in the primaries. Enough is enough.)

If Palin doesn’t run, there will be a lot of devastated people around here.

As there will be if she runs

RE :" Palin will then launch a third party campaign.

Bottom line prediction from comment #1. That allows the speculation to continue endlessly.

Alternatively she might just stay on FNC drawing a huge salary and continue to give us her 'expert' opinions on the race from the Greta show.

That and send out more Sarah-PAC donation letters.

LOL! I remember how upset I was when some other kid told me ther wasn’t a Santa Claus, even though I kind of knew it anyway.(And for you smart azzes, I did find out prior to last week) Just thought I would clear that up. LOL

The truth for any person is only what they believe. The reality and facts are always present, but ignored in favor of desires.

In this case, the train has to totally derail for some to realize that they really should have gotten off at the last station.

I've finally figured out what Palin is thinking

Are you the first or are there others out there just like you who are keeping it to themselves?

“She will get the entire 41% of conservative votes, and half or more of the moderate votes, giving her about 60% wins in both the primaries and the general election.”

Hear hear

Given the zealotry on display here by many....I expect that they would back her third party run.

***** my post was perfectly logical. *****

If you say so (snicker)

If Palin runs as an independent, she will split the anti-Obama, pro-liberty vote. She will get 20-25 percent of the vote. Ross Perot with all his billions got about 20 percent.

Since you’re “logical” about this, 25 percent isn’t enough to win in a 3-person race.

The likely result of your “logical” suggestion is a 2nd term for Obama.

What’s so tough for you to get it? Either Palin runs or she doesn’t. If she does run, it will be as a Republican.

If she’s so great, why wouldn’t she win the GOP nod? If Palin doesn’t run, that action provides its own answer.

-George

“As there will be if she runs”

I can’t imagine why that would be. I have never supported her nomination, in fact I spend a lot of time here teasing the heck out of her more, shall we say....”enthusiastic” supporters? However if she actually proved me wrong and did get in? I would NOT be devastated, I can assure you of that. I won’t abandon my current candidate just because she gets in, but I will give it until the primary. If she is the strongest conservative against Mitt Perry, she gets my vote. Otherwise I stick with Cain.

Given the zealotry on display here by many...

Is that what's really eating you about Palin supporters? Their honest, heartfelt enthusiasm? Are you as offended by the enthusiasm of Perry and Cain supporters?

Honest heartfelt enthusiasm would be one thing. For some of you the sun rises and sets on her word.

“Are you as offended by the enthusiasm of Perry and Cain supporters?”

Perry yes, Cain no. Not Cain because most of his supporters (I haven’t seen otherwise) have been called by many here the nicest supporters of any candidate on the forum.

Perry supporters are just friggin’ delusional.

Hmm...I'm sure there must be some rule against that. I think you should file a complaint with the management. When JR gets wind of this, he'll surely ban all of those zealots for you.

Probably more offended by the offensiveness of the Palin idolators supporters.
