To judge by the official logo of the Chinese National Space Administration, someone over there has been watching an awful lot of Star Trek.

Paid for by “free trade”.

Meanwhile NASA stalls, amid funding issues.

See also: “free trade”.

A country needs Dreams.

We once dreamed of going to the moon.
Science fiction is full of dreams to pursue.
China clearly dreams of great accomplishments.

In America today, all we have are the dreams of Obama's philandering father.

So you stick your fingers in your ears, and repeat “la la la la la I can’t hear you”.

Because protectionist “free trade” is how China is paying for nuclear missiles, satellites, aircraft carriers, stealth fighters and space technology to overtake the United States.

Whether you choose to pay attention to what is happening, or not.

Facts are facts.

Somebody posting on that site wrote,

‘The Chinese have stolen everyone’s ideas, trademarks and technology for years— why stop now?”

Truer words...

The Chinese think in long term — centuries and even millenia (it comes from being a very, very old country).

In 100 years, Star Trek will probably still be popular (God knows it has lasted 1/2 a century and is not losing steam).

The Chinese will tell their grandchildren: “Those logos and communicators used our design.”

I mean it. That is more than likely the reason for the design.
