Tim Tebow was Tebowed in one of the more memorable moments in taunting history.
In a act that surely will be talked about across the country for a while, Detroits Stephen Tulloch sacked Tim Tebow and then got down on one knee in front of the Denver quarterback.

Defense giving thanks for a successful sack.
“Defense giving thanks for a successful sack.”
When you are a Muslim, you pray five times a day.
When you play against the Tebow you pray seven times a game after each of the seven sacks.
That’s a whole lot of Tebowing!
I'm a Detroiter and borderline Lions fan and I'm not impressed whatsoever.......The Lions have given us nothing but crap for years and now that we have a questionable good team that gives me hope, Tulloch pulls that crap.......... They lost me as a fan again. here's hoping they go 6 and whatever..........
Wish I had an argument but I don't.........I'm embarrassed to be from metro Detroit.
“Tulloch pulls that crap.”
Tulloch’s job is to sack the quarterback and Tulloch did his job well.
Still a classless punk...
I found it hard to support the Lions this year considering all the crap they've given us this past decade but Tulloch's action in Sunday's game has sent me back to hoping for a 6 and ? season.........I'm embarrassed to be a Lion fan.
Tulloch's action was mocking, not worship.........There is nothing in Tulloch's history of his publicly professing his believe in God let alone in displaying it on the field...........
Your argument is useless..........
The issue being discussed here isn't about his sacking of the quarterback...........but you know that.
After reading what a Lion allegedly said in the yahoo article, I am extremely disappointed in them. They are earning their rep as nasty, dirty players. Not very smart for a team that still hasn’t proved anything, especially considering they were the laughing stock of the NFL just a few years ago.
They're trying to earn my respect and support but they're not doing a very good job of it........
Why do you think that Tebow should either be the only player in the NFL that can pray or the only player in the NFL that cannot be taunted?
It only 'seems' that way for someone too lazy to look it up. Dave W has already explained the genesis of the phrase.
Same here, buddy. Same here.
I have no doubt that Tebow is sincere in his prayers but he needs to be very careful to give the glory to God when people are praising him.
If Tebow were a Jew or a muslim would it be acceptable for players to be mocking a prayer?
“If Tebow were a Jew or a muslim would it be acceptable for players to be mocking a prayer?”
It would neither acceptable nor unacceptable, it would just be a taunt as occurs in every NFL game.
Tebow has promoted the term “Tebowing” and has encouraged others to participate in “Tebowing” instead of “prayer.”
‘Would you like the NFL to pass a rule that states that Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos may not be taunted?’
I would simply ask that the rules be enforced fairly; unreasonable I know to ask that.
Can you believe 15? Come on thats embarrassing. I mean, its a joke. We knew all week that if we brought any kind of defensive pressure, he couldnt do anything. In the second half it got boring out there. We were like, Come on thats your quarterback? Seriously?
Unnamed Detroit Lions defender
“I would simply ask that the rules be enforced fairly; unreasonable I know to ask that.”
Could you please cite an example of NFL rules not being enforced fairly in a play where Tebow was a participant?
