~Happy November Everyone~
Gathering For Winter
I found so many acorns
Under the falling leaves
Ill gather some quickly
And take them home with me
I have no mate or offspring
No friends or family near
So, I dont need too many
Ill just leave some of them here
Autumn will soon be in the past
That is clear to see
But Ill have plenty of acorns
And I wont go hungry
Ill stay warm and fed
And just enjoy my Winter life
But, Ill be back again next year
Perhaps, with a wife!

The poem by nicknamebob brought tears to my eyes. He has a wonderful use of words! His poetry ability is a true gift.
During a business trip to Philadelphia, I walked down Broad Street toward City Hall each morning to catch the subway. Each day I passed a long line of people waiting for something. They were a cross-section of humanity in age, ethnic origin, and appearance. After wondering about it for 3 days, I asked a man on the sidewalk why all those people were standing in line. He told me that they were on probation or parole after breaking the law and had to take a daily drug test to show that they were staying clean.
This struck me as a vivid illustration of my need to stay spiritually clean before God. When the psalmist pondered how he could live a pure life, he concluded that the key was to consider and obey Gods teaching. Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O Lord! Teach me Your statutes. . . . I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your Word (Ps. 119:11-12,16).
In the light of Gods Word, we see our sin, but we also see Gods love in Christ. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
By His grace . . . staying clean.
Good Morning Mayor, and ALL!!
Back after a brief break from posting and reading........
Lots going on here at our home..( major kitchen remodel, keeping up with grandson’s nightly homework, and dealing with sister’s home going...) but Fall is my most favorite seasons of the year and this morning I am full of praise and thanksgiving “ just because”!
This morning’s ODB a great reminder to stay in God’s Word!

I miss summer....
But, then...
If you promise to hold me close to your heart...
And keep me warm...
We will venture outdoors...
And, I'll welcome the new season with you
To you also! I can’t believe it’s November...
And my throat is hoarse from all the cackling I did last night, I’d better put lemon and honey in my tea. Have a great day, I’ll check in later!
Oh, oh! I meant to put “BILLIE” in the ping! Between Lori and Billie, the graphics are always so beautiful!
Sorry! :(
