It is amazing how good is the SEC. Five national titles in a row. Some of those games were not even competitive. This year we could see two SEC teams in the BCS Championship Game. And wasn’t “The Blind Side” one of the best movies of recent years?
I’d rather see chaos reign and an SEC - Boise title game.
That’s why I want stanford and Okie St to go down.
How about an all (future) Big East National Championship Game of Houston and Boise State?
We’ve had TCU vs BSU. That’s kinda lame.
I’d rather see LSU vs BSU for the National championship.
Teasips are afraid of Houston
Ha! And ouch!
I have nostalgia for all the old big 8 conference teams except colorado.
I like any team that likes to run the ball and expertly implements the option play and doesn’t rely on a few star players for success. I think that narrows it down to about ZERO teams nowdays with one honorable mention...Huskers.
Remind me, how are the Huskers doing in the Junior conference.
Junior conference? haha!
they’re rated number 9 in the nation, funny guy. One loss so far and most likely will finish the season, win whatever conference championship game there might be, and play a bowl game with no more losses. I think they will probably end up something like #5 in the nation. Maybe a little better if the right teams suffer an upset between now and then.
So what you are saying if they do everything right they could, just absolutely might be as good as Boise? Wow. Phenomenal. :p
no.
I said they’re practically guarranteed boise’s spot in the ranking. if everything goes perfect they might take Ok St’s spot.
Syracuse and Pitt got out at the right time.
I think the Ducks and every other one loss team might have something to say about that.
I doubt Nebraska will stay in the top 10. To many good teams out there.
I admit I’m going with the assumption the one loss the huskers did receive was a fluke. I have not watched a single college game this year with the exception of the last 5 minutes of the wisconsin game last saturday, and about ten minutes of a husker game 3 weeks ago. I’m basing my opinion entirely on final scores I’ve been checking on week by week and a few clips I happen to catch here and there. I’m looking at the schedules of the undefeated teams and seeing that at least half of them are not going to be able to maintain their perfect record.
I'm sure that Boise State- Rutgers match-up will generate a lot of fan interest.
Rutgers was drawing 50,000 to its football games during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, close to the capacity of its stadium. Attendance has been down this year, as it has with many other schools. Boise State doesn’t have anywhere near the capacity at its stadium to draw that many people.
